What do you expect from the Blair Broadcasting Corporation? Following the shocking debacle over Dr. David Kelly the BBC has turned into the single most toothless news organisation broadcasting in this country.
Their standards of journalism have disappeared, their moral stance is gone and their role of acting as a public service designed to hold the executive to account is no more. They parrot Blair lies, Bush lies and any other lies they can get their grubby little hands on. Their coverage of the recent troubles in Uzbekistan was appalling. They did nothing but preach the Blair line. They have become little more than the media whores America has put up with for so long. They no longer "report" they just speculate, editorialise and repeat government propaganda.
Recently they have even stooped to the Fox low of challenging any dissenting voice (of which there are very few) with the immortal words "but surely, most people think......." They don’t seem to realise that hearsay and speculation is not journalism and that the opinion of the newscaster however presented has no place within the news. The news should be reported - fairly and accurately - and the viewer left to arrive at their own understanding.
