The same thing happened in Beijing China during the Boxer uproar - the so called civilized western nations destroyed a library of priceless value for mankind. 5000 years old books were burned.
The Nazi hordes were bad, but they valued the artifacts of countries they occupied. American soldiers are just to bad educated to know what they are doing.
You can’t blame them - have a certain look to their commander in chief: Bush - does any human who is dumber exists on earth?
