What total BS! The French Quarter is on higher ground. The idiot government down there couldn’t even get organized enough to blow the levees if they wanted to. Also FEMA and the Army Corp. of Engineers were nowhere to be found. This makes no sense at all, however if blowing the levees would actually protect a major economic engine and employer of the poor maybe destroying some ghettos would be justified.
Sure, of course Bush is evil right, and the looters of TVs are justified, if this had happened in a communist country they ALL would have been shot on sight, even the innocent people just taking food to survive.
