Thank you for attempting to provide proof to the ’Doubting Thomases’ of North America. Okay, folks, we’ve exhausted the propraganda about the USA being the richest, most prosperous, most wholesome country in the world! The other countries are so sick of hearing it, yet we don’t realize that to them we look like a psychotic ’problem child’ (with bombs and Weapons of Mass Destruction [WMDs that we claim only unsavoury dictatorships would use on innocent people])! The truth only seems to come out in times of crisis, that we are at the mercy of a government that doesn’t give two tosses about the people in thi country!
The only good thing about the gulf coast hurricane tragedy is that people finally came together to accomplish more than photo opportunities. This time celebrities led the way to allow these poor abandoned people to speak up. Now, if only the people of Iraq could have the same opportunity, to speak about this unnecessary occupation of their country. Do you think the results would be the same if oil was not involved!
This morning on a TV talk show, the host spoke about how poor survivors in New Orleans were herded onto a bridge and told to head out of the city by the sheriff. On the other end of the bridge, police had mounted an offensive against these people and actually opened fire on them as they tried to leave the city! This is not Beirut or Iran, but indeed the USA! It is time to expose the corruption that runs rampant by the politicians and ’elected’ officials from the president on down. Another website that could be mentioned is www.montelshow.com, which is still trying to help survivors find loved ones and a new direction in dealing with their losses.
