You obviously have never read any material by Ayn Rand. The root of America’s evil is the loss of objectivity or its ability to rationalize. We the people are used to having something for nothing. Now, as America’s dollar is not worth a "Continental" (America’s fiat currency during the civil war), the ability to rationalize becomes strong again in order to survive. You and I, who read Bellaciao, will do better than most in the next great depression.
One way to get ahead is to buy precious metals. Silver and gold are still a good buy. Yes there will be corrections but we will have real money (intrinsic value) when the depression hits. No need to get into why precious metals are better than paper money, just realize that it is. Start planning now and rationalize.
