Monica: I share your outrage with our immoral leader. Years ago I discovered that this president is incapable of telling the truth. Every statement of his comes with the spin of a whirling dervish. You are right in your assessment that the bottom line is the almighty dollar, the unholy profit, the cronies whom he favors above all others. He exploits religion, the flag, 9/11, and anything else that might attract votes, cash and support, but personally he is an egomaniac, a dry drunk, a cursing uncaring executive. He can send American troops to war because he is the king. He never tells the troops that they are in Iraq to seize the oil reserves, to seize bases, or to erect a giant embassy from which he will dominate the entire Middle East. Now we find that he disrespects the Constitution because he considers himself above the law and that man-made law is to be manipulated whenever his God whispers in his ear. How can soldiers support a petulant daddy’s boy who did not serve honorably, who went AWOL, but struts and swaggers like an immortal hero who has actually done something honorable and courageous. Instead he swaths himself with the greatest security of any leader, he wraps himself in the flag whenever he gets in trouble, and then he holds up a cross to fool people into believing he is a sort of junior messiah.
By now you must have heard that he calls the Constitution that he swore on a bible to respect just a Godd..m piece of paper. What soldier would uphold this imperial pretension? He must be impeached or otherwise removed from office.
