> You’re being watched ...Efforts to collect data on Americans go far beyond the NSA’s domestic spying program

Having been political active (sometimes radioactive) for over 40 years I expect the secret services to keep tabs on me, take my photo in demonstrations, taped my phone -now the net-especially if I do a credible or even less than credible job in challenging the daily MSM.
They have lots of folks, time to kill and tons of money and paper trails for a playground.
My basic premise is that very little credence may be placed on Government pronouncements unless they go to considerable length and effort to deny a previous stated ’truth’.
Which is why this particular time since 911 is so fascinating and frightening for those who stay awake.
Years ago Paul Robson sang a wake up song: "There’s a man going round taking names, hes taken your fathers name...for this, and speaking plainly he was denied the right to travel, harassed, subjected to unlimited personal abuse and insult only to become a cultural icon with integrity though his drama and songs throughout the world (outside the USA where he was ’blacklisted’ and ignored by the culture vultures and arts critics)
