too tough to comment about and yet..

to rip off those soft skins and clothe another’s back !

too sad to write about other than now

with trembling fingers like those eyes

that look to no one for help

knowing full well that no help will come

to pluck the gall from man’s hardened hand

give me one good reason why a god should love man ?

our dream of kindliness is a mockery

let those whose skin is thin wear the furry sack

bones last longer than the pain fled flesh that feeds the flies

and those which do not break will be tossed

and blanched by furling waves

forever in cold clear joy like the child at play

we are all the naked sand of tomorrow’s day
