Stand athwart the apocalypse, and shout: "No!"
by Justin Raimondo
A recent poll shows six in ten Americans think a new world war is coming: the same poll says about 50 percent approve of the dropping of the atomic bomb on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II. Somewhat inexplicably, about two-thirds say nuking those two cities was "unavoidable." One can only wonder, then, what their reaction will be to this ominous news, revealed in a recent issue of (…)

Train Wreck of the Week
25 July 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
In three votes the Senate, unable to reach a consensus on how much to spend, rejected proposals to increase the Homeland Security Department’s budget for mass transit and rail by amounts from $100 million to $1.4 billion. It finally voted 96 to 1 to adopt a $31.9 billion spending plan for Fatherland Security in the 2006 budget, which is preposterous. There is little if no terrorist threat in America.
By next June the British plan to cut their forces in Iraq from 8,500 to 3,000 at the same (…) -
Much more than 25,000 Iraqis civilians were killed by the invation !

5 commentsMuch more than 25,000 Iraqis civilians were killed by the invation !
The number given by the IBC is very little compared with the civilians killed in Iraq. The reasons are:-
1- The USA troops kill from the Iraqis and do not bother to keep an account of their killing. General Tomy Franks was quoted to say: "We do not do body count". 2- In the first few months after invasion of Iraq there were no real government in Iraq and health offices were not in position to give accurate statistics (…) -
Ban all backpacks!

I’ve got the best solution: Ban all backpacks!
No, seriously, folks, I think what we have here is (as the "program" says) self-will run riot. We’ve got a hybrid mob/cult/dictatorship running the world. And the cruellest irony of all is that these bastards are using the very constitution we created to methodically destroy everything we have ever had and believed in. The only way to stem the tide of this juggernaut is to do what Toyota, Inc. is doing- taking their business elsewhere. When (…) -
Cook: War in Iraq boosted terrorism
24 July 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
Former foreign secretary Robin Cook has said the invasion of Iraq had "undoubtedly" boosted terrorism around the world.
Mr Cook, who quit the Cabinet over his opposition to the war, said that unless the Government addressed the issue it would struggle to win over young Muslims in Britain.
He stressed that he was not arguing that the attacks on London would not have occurred if Britain had not joined the invasion.
However he said intelligence agencies had warned Tony Blair on the eve of (…) -

Warning:
The above link includes multiple pictures, most of which have obviously been taken by Americans because of the proximaty of the camera to the subject. I do not believe the photographers would put this material on the net. And yet, somehow, this information supposedly made it into the hands of the resistance. Some pictures have been posted on other sites. Some are unique in this presentation. Some are of a graphic nature.

by Hank Roth
By July 2005, about 10,000 American troops have died from the war in Iraq. The number given by the Bush administration is bogus. They say officially over 1,800 now dead and about 12,000 wounded. Those numbers are horrific but they are also a lie. When has this administration ever told the truth?
U.S. Military Personnel who died in German hospitals or en route to German hospitals have not previously been counted. They total about 6,210 as of 1 (…) -

By JOHN J. LUMPKIN
WASHINGTON (AP) - Some 50 prisoners at Guantanamo Bay have declared they are on a hunger strike, a Pentagon spokesman said Thursday.
They went on strike three days ago, spokesman Bryan Whitman said. Some have already begun eating again, he said. The spokesman said he did not know why they went on strike and said the health of the striking detainees is being monitored.
The Pentagon’s version of this incident contrasted (…)
