Thanks for the June 23 excellent editorial from the Detroit Free Press.
You defined the issue as "The Downing Street memos and President Bush’s credibility."
The editorial is telling us what is obviously happening in Iraq. This is not a Democratic or Republican issue anymore.
The British public and the American public (…)

U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Milwaukee, was the first member of Wisconsin’s congressional delegation to sign on as a co-sponsor of a new bipartisan proposal to bring the troops home from Iraq. On Tuesday, Moore added her name to "Withdrawal of United States Armed Forces From Iraq Resolution of 2005 - Homeward Bound" legislation, which was introduced last week and is likely to become the primary vehicle for expression of anti-war sentiment in Congress.

23 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)

For those who don’t know (and it still appears to be many), the Downing Street memo is a confidential British intelligence communication, written months before the war began, that was leaked to the Sunday Times of London. (…) -

Jonathan Freedland Wednesday June 22, 2005 The Guardian
Now try to work this one out. Before the war on Iraq, Britain witnessed a ferocious debate over whether the case for conflict was legal and honest. Five U.S. troops were killed in Afghanistan last week. On June 9, the Washington Post reported that
"Insurgents linked to the former Taliban regime have (…) -
