Does our President lie to the American public and allow other politicians to commonly exercise that option? Is our President a War monger that has allowed the use of banned chemical weapons, that even now are causing serious side effects and health related problems of our own military heros? Has he left America, its citizens and its borders unprotected?
Does he put his secret society’s causes before American causes (Skull & Bones)? Has he allowed pedophilia in Government to run (…)

9 days left before war with Iran
29 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsAre we going to stand idly by as more sovereign countries are attacked? This farce has nothing to do with getting rid of nuclear weapons in the Middle East or else the US would shut down the billions of dollars of aid that Israel receives. Money that is funneled into its massive chemical, biological and nuclear arsenal, which is turning Israel into a dominant superpower. Their military & political might remains unchecked. They are in firm control of the world’s remaining superpower, the (…)

100,000 Signatures Needed on Downing Street Letter

I have written to you in this space on a number of occasions about my profound concern about the implications of the "Downing Street Memo," which actually consists of the minutes of a July 2002 meeting between British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his top advisers. During this meeting, Blair and his advisers reveal details about conversations with their American counterparts. These details cast substantial doubt on the honesty of contemporaneous claims made by the (…) -
IT REALLY IS A CRUSADE
28 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)

[Gary Leupp is Professor of History at Tufts University, and Adjunct Professor of Comparative Religion]
Days after the 9-11 attacks, George W. Bush informed Americans, "This crusade, this war on terrorism, is going to take awhile." As a Yale history major, he ought to have known what the medieval Crusades were all about: Christians against Muslims, mostly for control of Palestine, fought with all the viciousness and duplicity reflected in the recent film "The Kingdom of (…) -
I Used To Be a Neocon
28 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
8 commentsTwo years ago I was a neocon. I supported Bush’s war on Iraq and I called everyone who didn’t a liberal Kool-aid drinker. I voted for Bush in 2000 and I listened to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and just about any right-winger on the radio that I could get a four-word talking point from to use against liberals. I would say things such as "liberals won’’ defend America," "shut up and sing," "freedom is on the march," and "you’re a great American." I supported the war at first because I bought (…)

Governments betraying human rights says Amnesty International Annual Report
28 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
Governments are betraying their promise of a world order based on human rights and are pursuing a dangerous new agenda, said Amnesty International today as it launched its annual report.
Speaking at the launch of the Amnesty International Report 2005, the organisation’s Secretary General Irene Khan said that governments had failed to show principled leadership and must be held to account.
"Governments are betraying their promises on human rights. A new agenda is in the making with the (…) -
The mystery of Iraqi resistance
28 May 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentI suppose the second biggest mystery about the occupation of Iraq - after the fact that the United States is spending billions of dollars to build a series of giant permanent military bases in Iraq without any mainstream media coverage (the complete lack of mainstream media coverage is no surprise) - is the fact that apparently no one - not the media, not the Pentagon, not the learned commentators - seems to have the slightest idea of the nature of the Iraqi resistance. The insurgents are (…)

Now we know where they stand. The historic debate and vote on the Lynn Woolsey amendment.
On the evening of May 25, the US House of Representatives considered an amendment offered by Representative Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) calling for an exit strategy from Iraq. Amendment No. 26 simply stated:
"It is the sense of Congress that the president should -

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you, Lonny.
Welcome to Washington for this extraordinary AIPAC conference. I’m told that the attendance far surpasses any other conference, and it’s always been one of the biggest gatherings that Washington hosts every year. So I congratulate you for being here in these numbers with this energy and enthusiasm.
I also thank my friend Bernice, who has served so well (…) -
AIPAC Wants You to Die in

As a primary example how AIPAC runs the foreign policy of the United States, consider Dana Milbank’s AIPAC’s Big, Bigger, Biggest Moment, published in the Washington Post. Milbank tells us: at the annual meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, held in Washington recently, the pro-Israel "political action committee" (or rather a political bribery and intimidation, to say nothing of espionage, committee or more accurately racket) is "here to stay" (according (…)
