Decent folk must BOYCOTT racist US, UK and White Australia over Iraqi Holocaust and Iraqi Genocide (4 million excess deaths, 1990-2008; 1.7-2.2 million excess deaths post-invasion, 2003-2008).
We have all just witnessed the 5th anniversary of the illegal, war criminal, Australian, UK and US invasion of Iraq.
$3.5 trillion, 4,000 US deaths, 30,000 US wounded and 1.7-2.2 million post-invasion Iraqi excess deaths later, all decent people must urgently apply Sanctions and BOYCOTTS to bring (…)

Tibet: An inalienable part of China
by Rolf Berthold
After many years abroad, the Tibetan Dainmba returned home to China. He had spent time at a special training camp for Tibetans in Colorado, USA.
In May 1991 he commented about his stay in Colorado — allegedly a political instructor at this camp declared that it was intended to prevent the China from becoming rich and powerful, and for that purpose China was to be divided whilst it was still poor. The (…) -

Along with the blood drenched landscape of religious conflict there is the experience of inner peace and solace that every religion promises, none more so than Buddhism. Standing in marked contrast to the intolerant savagery of other religions, Buddhism is neither fanatical nor dogmatic—so say its adherents. For many of them Buddhism is less a theology and more a meditative and investigative discipline intended to promote an inner harmony and (…) -

Polk Guest Op-Ed
William R. Polk writes:
Cassandra and Yogi Berra are an unlikely pair, but I hear both of their voices today. Cassandra, like some of us, was cursed to be always disbelieved as she correctly predicted the future while baseballer Yogi Berra will be remembered for his penetrating insight into the flow of history, “This is like deja vu all over again."
It is through the unlikely medium of U.S. News and World (…) -

Five years in Iraq.
That’s 1,825 days since "Shock and Awe" lit up the skies above Baghdad, all of which was captured live and in living color by unblinking CNN cameras with unobstructed views of the carnage.
3,991 United States soldiers have died in Iraq since then. That’s a little more than two United States (…) -

Just as the United States Congress, following intense pro-Tibet lobbying by the likes of movie star Richard Gere, has urged the administration to spend annually $ 2 million in support of the Tibetan exiles, in addition to the $ 2 million annually in funding for Tibetan exiles in India, comes a revelation that could embarrass the Tibetan cause.
The Central Intelligence Agency has stoutly refused to discuss its involvement in the Tibetan struggle but the story (…) -

Positions at An-Najah National University
13 March 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
I am trying to help An-Najah National University find teaching staff and volunteers to fill the chronic short-fall in staff. We are having difficulties finding teaching staff who are willing to live and work in the besieged city of Nablus. The closure regime and checkpoints surrounding Nablus deter many people from coming to work here, and, as you can see from the long list of short-fall subjects below, the University is finding it difficult to attract Faculty members. Yet, many rewarding, (…)

iInter-Press Service (IPS)
BAQUBA, Mar 10 (IPS) - Iraq’s children have been more gravely affected by the U.S. occupation than any other segment of the population.
The United Nations estimated that half a million Iraqi children died during more than 12 years of economic sanctions that preceded the U.S. invasion of March 2003, primarily as a result of malnutrition and disease.
But childhood malnutrition in Iraq has increased 9 percent since then, according to an Oxfam International (…) -

Iraq, where women once had more rights and freedom than most others in the Arab world, has turned deadly for women who dream of education and a professional career.
Former dictator Saddam Hussein maintained a relatively secular society, where it was common for women to take up jobs as professors, doctors and government officials. In today’s Iraq, women are being killed by militia (…)
