  • Any country that has been arbitrarily created by Colonial Empires in Europe, The Middle East, Africa or Asia have experienced tension, divisions, ethic cleanings, civil wars.etc.
Look at any atlas of 50 years ago and compare it with one published last year. I don’t know about Saddams iron fist but Iraq was artifical created much later then India. Out of India came Pakistan and they both claim Kashmir .
Fighting over borders and ownership becomes very dangerous when they are packing nukes.
Excellent chances in Iraq, for many varations of changing alliances and borders, all will involve a lot of blood.
In the final analysis it depends on which Big Boys back the Kids, and how far they are willing to go in threating each other. (Or making deals in back rooms)
The local Big Brothers include Turkey, Kurdistan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia, The USA along with permanent members of the UN Security Council hold great interest and higher cards. The US continues to raise the stakes. (Israel the rhetoric)
It’s early in the game, but all local Iraqs regardless of ethnicity haven’t shown any tendencty to cash in, in fact they are raising the ante!
As the song says, "you got to know when to hold, and you gotta know when to fold"...
Theres only one country, thats trying to do both things,at the same time, and save face in the process.
    One guess only.
