BUSH CONFESSIONS ABSOLVE HIM
By Peter Fredson
December 16, 2005
For several days I have purposely dialed into Bush Fundamentalists blogs. I wanted to check how his recent speeches went over with them. It seems that a few had become disappointed with his poor performance and unsatisfactory explanations of the war he started in Iraq. But after his speeches a few decided that confession was really good for the soul.
In fact, we might regard the U.S. as a large confessional, with GWB as (…)

Is Homeland Security for the USA or is it for the "HOMELAND" in the middle east.
16 December 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsIn fact if you take the actual phrase "homeland" it would imply that who ever decided on this phrase did so to indicate in a subtle but direct way that this department was to serve directly under the authority of the executive with out regard to our congress or other national intelligence agencies in its scope of authority or ablities to act. In fact if you view the word "homeland" as just that a person using this phrase would use it to indicate a place other than the USA. Because the USA (…)

Green Party’s Kevin Zeese Has New Approach
16 December 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
Baltimore, MD - On a brutal night, Dec. 14, 2005, where the temperature hovered around the ultra-freezing 15 degree mark, the Green Party’s candidate for the U.S. Senate in Maryland, Kevin Zeese, was out on the campaign trail delivering his “for the people” message. He spoke at the “All People’s Congress” hall, which is located about a half mile from the now-razed Memorial Stadium, where the sports notables of yesteryear, like John Unitas, Lenny Moore, Brooks and Frank Robinson, once played. CIA War Crimes

2 commentsCIA has documented every use of its exclusive ’enhanced interrogation techniques’
Nothing in the [Geneva] Conventions [on the treatment of prisoners of war] precludes directed interrogations. They do, however, prohibit torture and humiliation of detainees, whether or not they are deemed P.O.W.’s. These are standards that are never obsolete-they cut to the heart of how moral people must treat other human beings. John McCain , in Torture: A Human Rights Perspective, edited by Kenneth Roth (…) -

5 commentsAs a legal noose appears to be tightening around the Bush/Cheney/Rove inner circle, a shocking government report shows the floor under the legitimacy of their alleged election to the White House is crumbling.
The latest critical confirmation of key indicators that the election of 2004 was stolen comes in an extremely powerful, penetrating report from the Government Accountability Office that has gotten virtually no mainstream media coverage. Click here for GAO Report.

Bush’s Naval Academy Propaganda
15 December 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentby Jason Galde
On November 30th, 2005 President Bush gave a "war strategy" speech in front of a packed auditorium of U.S. Navy midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
It’s so much fun deconstructing such a masterpiece of well thought out propaganda as one of our fearless leader’s locker room speeches. The key element of the propaganda used here is Emotional Leverage. As defined by ”Propaganda 101: Mastery of the Dark Arts”, "Emotional Leverage is the use of imagery (…) -

AN IMAGINARY TALK WITH DONALD RUMSFELD, IN HIS OWN WORDS
Interviewer: “Hello, Secretary Rumsfeld. Thank you for joining us this morning.”
Rumsfeld: “Well, golly, I’m just pleased as punch to be here.”
Interviewer: “Let’s get right to it, shall we Mr. Secretary. There are many Americans who think that Iraq has become a quagmire. What do you have to say about that criticism? Is Iraq a quagmire?”
Rumsfeld: “Now settle down, settle down. Hell, I’m an old man, it’s early in the (…) -

15 December 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentFour men deprived of their liberty for four years on suspicion of being international terrorists disclose today that they have not once been questioned by police or security services since being arrested.
The four, who were among 16 suspects detained without trial under post-11 September terror legislation, later overturned by the law lords, give harrowing accounts of the treatment they have suffered. All are now under virtual house arrest. Although three face deportation, The Independent (…) -

NEW OLD ADMINISTRATION LIES

Formal Administration Lies
By Peter Fredson
December 15, 2005
The administration lies have been coming fast and thick recently. The President just made a series of speeches, Condi made a series of speeches, and Cheney made several speeches. Ordinarily it would be hard to keep up with so many speeches, except for the fact that essentially they are all the same speech. In several the wording is identical, from cut-and-paste jobs of phrases that sounded good and suckered some Bush (…)
