On September 20, 2001, Bush coined the now infamous phrase: "Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists" ... that speech was given days after the attacks that befell the United States on 9/11.
What a hypocrite Bush was and is, making that statement seeing that he gives safe harbor to a known terrorist, Luis Posada Carriles.
On October 6, 1976, Cubana flight 455 took off from Caracas carrying 73 persons including a fencing team. Whether you are speaking of (…)

The King who led on world peace
3 February 2006By Derrick Z. Jackson
ONE OF the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s most famous speeches was his April 4, 1967, condemnation of the Vietnam War. He said America could never end poverty at home as long as ’’adventures like Vietnam continued to draw men and skills and money like some demonic destructive suction tube."
King confessed in his speech that it took him two years to ’’break the betrayal of my own silences and to speak from the burnings of my own heart." A prior, 1965 declaration that (…) -

Fascism as it was in Italy
2 February 2006My wife was born in Italy, and grew up attending school with Mussolini’s daughter. Members of her family had different opinions about the government, but dissention was tolerated. None of the anti government voices were silenced. Nobody was beaten or kicked with jackboots.
I point this out because of the Cindy Sheehan controversy. My wife assures me that many citizens of Italy during WW II were opposed to losing their sons in war, and speaking out was not considered a crime. IF T-shirts had (…) -

Battle Plans for Iran by Mike Whitney
In less than 24 hours the Bush administration has won impressive victories on both domestic and foreign policy fronts. At home, the far-right Federalist Society alum, Sam Alito, has overcome the feeble resistance from Democratic senators; ensuring his confirmation to the Supreme Court sometime late on Tuesday. Equally astonishing, the administration has coerced both Russia and China into bringing Iran before the United Nations (…) -

A Nation Conditioned
The continued dismantling of America’s very essence, the decimation of its founding core and its evolving surface, has been a product of both purposeful malevolence as well as incompetent ignorance. While the lives of hundreds of millions of Americans continue to deteriorate, each day losing more knowledge, freedom, democracy and economic survivability - though with many remaining ignorant or blinded to their actual (…)
