Besides the specific interpretations, "in Athens" or "on Athens" a deepening of tensions and decomposition of power forms is underway - the latter, for a long time now, not able anymore to propose stable governance relationships within the European province; and materializing, once again, the specter of a Political that increasingly gets polarized in its "extreme" conditions of friendship and hostility.
With respect to Athens, for those who look to it, feel empathy and see there an (…)

Meet Leonid Sedov, the young lawyer behind Ukraine’s corruption
16 July 2015It is hard to believe that a country so beleaguered by political unrest and separatist war should be a member of the allegedly civilised European Union. But Ukraine today finds itself stuck in the middle between Europe’s self-serving indifference and Russia’s territorial ambitions – and a new generation of oligarchs, lawyers and public servants are taking over the sorry tradition of corruption in the former Eastern Bloc state.
Take the case of Leonid Sedov. The young Russian lawyer is a (…) -
Maka Angola and Rafael Marques should have nothing to hide from Angola’s NGO ref
11 July 2015It came as little surprise this week to see anti-government website Maka Angola launch a vitriolic attack of the change of laws regarding non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Angola.
According to the website, which is run by investigative journalist and staunch anti-government activist Rafael Marques de Morais, many of the changes involve the administration and registration of NGOs in the oil-rich country.
The website states that the reforms in question oblige(s) NGOs to register (…) -
Greece will enter maybe finally the European Union this weekend …
10 July 2015Before him it was only governments in the orientations of the European majority rights included by Ppe (Left popular European) up to the social democrats of the PASOC that were supposed, in the political past of Greece and well before Alexis Tsipras’s coming, to start the drastic rules (rulers) inherent to the requirements of the last updates of Treaties which can make functional the « participation » to the whole European Union (Update of taxes on « companies » (« societies »), shipowners ; (…)

Get to Know Mirco de Jesus Martins
9 July 2015After the likes of Teodorin Obiang and Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, most people here in Africa don’t want to read another piece about a politician’s kid. However, Mirco de Jesus Martins, stepson of Vice President Manuel Vicente is a different type of person altogether.
Though Mirco de Jesus Martins was born here in Angola before his father adopted him, he was educated in Angola and abroad in both UK and US universities. This helped him develop an understanding of how much of the world (…) -
Oxi Means NO... or at least it should
5 July 2015At this writing, with over 75% of the vote counted in today’s Greek referendum, OXI is actually still ticking *up* with 61.6 to 31.4. It is a stunning vote, well ahead of Syriza support in all districts. It is certainly an enormous ’fuck you’ to the troika, and an important assertion of democracy and national sovereignty—as well as a robust shot in the arm for the anti-austerity movement across Europe. It also now seems possible that the greek people have moved ahead of Syriza (…)

The Greek Tragedy. The Antigones against Creon
4 July 20153 / 7 / 2015
There were no so everlasting tragedy in the Athens of the V century. Neither were they so articulated, complex, played by a variety of psychological and public roles making them nearer to the contemporary television drama than to the one of Sophocle’s piece.
During last month, as we got nearer to the dead line of the 30th of June, we have seen the performances of all the typical characters: Schäuble, the German Minister of Finance, played the role of the austere and severe (…) -
UFO Truth?
3 July 2015Hello:
I am passing on a series of emails/letters I received from a contact that understands what you people are doing. What you do with them is your business.
Read below:
There comes a time in someone’s life to begin to tell the truth. I was fortunate to work with great people on great projects, funded by private and government concerns. This will not be a long drawn out treatise. UFO’s and aliens are not called by those names. They have existed long before we had any understanding. (…)
