WHO BLEW IT?
For Amusement Purposes Only
Compiled by Peter Fredson

Today I watched a bog entitled: “Who Blew It?” It was in reference to the Katrina hurricane, trying to impartially assess blame for incompetence and inattention to various persons and governmental organizations. It jogged a memory of about 10 years ago to the “big blow” of the time.
There was a dalliance between Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinski which caused arteries to pop in Republican (…)

America’s Battered Wife Syndrome
14 September 2005Dear America,
As a friend of the family I can’t sit back and watch you do this to yourself without saying something. Consider this a long distance intervention.
Your man is no good. He treats you like crap, lies to you, abuses you, bullies you, exploits you, takes your money. As a friend I want to tell you that you deserve better. You deserve a person that treats you with respect, cares about your welfare, and your children’s welfare, but that’s not George and it never will be.
Do you (…) -

What was Congressman Jefferson doing?
14 September 2005I just heard on MSNBC that AP issued a statement that Congressman Jefferson was in NO on Sept. 1, Friday, to check on his constituents. Oh and he took a large military truck and some soldiers to his house to check on it. Seems he loaded a whole lot of things from his house onto the truck that he wished to take out as he left. There were helicopters buzzing overhead all of the time in case he needed help(?). Just wondering if anyone else has heard this and am also wondering what Congressman (…)

Some of the same crony contractors who cleaned up in Iraq are beginning to sign big contracts with FEMA. Moreover, the same inexperience and bureaucratic ineptitude that handicapped the agency’s initial response threatens to convert the agency into “an oversized entitlement program,” as former (…) -
Questions raised about whether Red Cross provided adequate relief-directed funds to Katrina victims
14 September 2005Top Red Cross official Bush appointee, donor
New information surrounding relief efforts by the American Red Cross in New Orleans raises questions about whether the organization provided adequate relief and whether funds are actually being directed to Katrina victims, RAW STORY has found.
Previous investigations have shown that the Red Cross mishandled its 9/11 fund, attempting to divert more than half into a "war fund" before Congress intervened, and moved $10 million from a fund in 1989 (…) -

I call upon the Congress to inventory our homeland with an eye to the future," Byrd told his colleagues. His prepared remarks are below.
Chapter 3, Verses 1-8 of the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible begins, “To everything there is a (…) -
