Let’s give Donald Rumsfeld the benefit of the doubt. He’s not a war criminal. He never wrote any memo authorizing specific techniques for abusing prisoners. He doesn’t believe in abusing people. More Than 50 Groups Urge Bush Not to Offer Military Assistance to Indonesian President
A wide range of U.S. organizations today urged President Bush not to offer military assistance to Indonesia when he meets President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono tomorrow. Two Israeli soldiers have alleged that they were ordered to carry out revenge attacks on Palestinian police after six of their comrades were killed.
The unnamed soldiers made the charges, which relate to events three years ago, to an organisation which gathers evidence on Israeli army abuses.
At least 15 Palestinians were killed in response to the troops’ deaths.
The Israeli army said it had targeted policemen who actively assisted militants in carrying out killings.

This war in Iraq has just gone too far and it’s now time to start talking impeachment.
With all the evidence available, and the new information emerging regarding the lies, twisted truths and selective intelligence that brought us into an unprovoked and unnecessary war, it’s time for the nation to hold responsible the man sitting where the buck stops at the White House. If you design a social system without money corporations and the oligarchy of class domination will never exist on earth again. Freedom will actually exist. And Peace will be a reality. Venezuelan VP José Vicente Rangel Friday in Havana claimed that President Hugo Chávez’ life "is seriously threatened," and put the blame on the CIA for plotting to kill the Venezuelan head of State.

TAMPA - Just a stone’s throw away from a life-size gorilla dressed in military fatigues was another oddity along Kennedy Boulevard Thursday - people protesting about a memo.
"Did you get the memo?" read the fliers.
