Botched Sgrena Hit Does Not Bode Well for Bush and Berlusconi
6 March 2005Newspapers across the United States are publishing and posting the same story by Frances D’Emilio on the shooting of Giuliana Sgrena and the murder of Nicola Calipari. The story is entitled “Story of Italian Hostage’s Release Unclear” and it is divided between the “circumstances” surrounding Sgrena’s release and the “friendly fire incident” that killed Calipari and wounded Sgrena. D’Emilio, however, left out a few important facts, as noted by Lew Rockwell
“Despite the universal reprinting (…) -

Although George W. Bush once owned the Texas Rangers, anyone who has seen him at a press conference knows that his favorite sport is really softball. Bush’s penchant for puff helps to explain the mercurial rise and fall of “reporter” Jim Guckert, who went from working in a cyber-whorehouse to covering the White House as a “correspondent” for conservative Internet mag, Talon News.
When not reporting conservative news, Guckert was a member of Bush’s “ownership society”. In (…) -
Why the U.S. Must Get Out of Iraq, Pronto
6 March 2005by Maj. General Harry Upman
Let me say in no uncertain terms, we must get out of Iraq.
There is nothing to gain and everything to lose in Iraq. We have lost over four thousand of our military, those who were killed in Iraq and those who died in intransit from Iraq to our hospitals in Germany and in Europe. We have had over 10,000 of our troops wounded. According to a report I heard last night on Frontline on PBS, 1 in 6 of our people coming home from Iraq need mental help.
What have we (…) -
US attack against Italians in Baghdad was deliberate: companion
6 March 2005The companion of freed Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena on Saturday leveled serious accusations at US troops who fired at her convoy as it was nearing Baghdad airport, saying the shooting had been deliberate.
"The Americans and Italians knew about (her) car coming," Pier Scolari said on leaving Rome’s Celio military hospital where Sgrena is to undergo surgery following her return home.
"They were 700 meters (yards) from the airport, which means that they had passed all checkpoints." (…) -
Negative news when USA mentioned
6 March 2005I just finished reading three articles on this site which mentioned USAbusers and not one was positive all very much the way I have always read that country. I have mentioned many times in my life that the US will fall like the Fall of the Roman Empire, so busy trying to conquer other countrys with their riches and wars, while at home their country fell. To hear how they USAbusers shot this hostage from Italy while the person who had her freed died in her arms from a US bullet, then we have (…)

Voting glitches haunt statistician
5 March 2005Brian Joiner wishes he could "just get over it."
He wishes he could ignore the thousands of reported voting irregularities that occurred in the Nov. 2 election, accept the fact that George W. is going to be around another four years and just hope that we haven’t created even more enemies or fallen even deeper into debt by the time 2008 rolls around.
"I’m sure the Republicans would like me to forget all that stuff, just like they wanted everyone to forget all the strange things that (…) -

How the CIA created Osama bin Laden
5 March 2005BY NORM DIXON
"Throughout the world ... its agents, client states and satellites are on the defensive - on the moral defensive, the intellectual defensive, and the political and economic defensive. Freedom movements arise and assert themselves. They’re doing so on almost every continent populated by man - in the hills of Afghanistan, in Angola, in Kampuchea, in Central America ... [They are] freedom fighters."
Is this a call to jihad (holy war) taken from one of Islamic fundamentalist (…)
