A video uploaded to YouTube shows an Israel Defense Forces soldier wriggling in a belly dance beside a bound and handcuffed Palestinian woman, to the cheers of his comrades who were documenting the incident.

1 October 2010Neighbours close borders with Ecuador as nations from across the Americas signal their support for Rafael Correa.
World leaders have pledged their support for Rafael Correa, the president of Ecuador, after a state of emergency was called amid protests by police officers angry over plans to remove some of their benefits.
Correa himself sought refuge in a hospital in Quito on Thursday after being teargassed by as he attempted to speak to offficers at a barracks in the capital.

30 September 2010On September 29, 2010, demonstrations were conducted on an international basis protesting radioactive nuclear waste. Joining in that action, the “Crabshell Alliance” staged a demonstration on Charles Street, in Baltimore, Maryland, near Penn Station. I talked with two activists at the site: Max Obuszewski and Maria Allwine. Mr. Obuszewski said that September 29th was the anniversary of one of the “worst radioactive waste accidents” in history.
