Volunteering is also an opportunity to learn about the fascinating and little-known archaeology of this remote region and of the (…)

Days Away From Economic Chaos?
21 August 2009Days Away From Economic Chaos?
by Bill Sardi
August 21, 2009

It has not particularly alarmed Americans that its growth and prosperity have been built upon debt. The American public is a bit desensitized, particularly since the Y2K threat fizzled. (…) -

21 August 2009More US wealthy opt to surrender their citizenship
17 August 2009 - David Bain
As offshore havens comply with transparency demands, a growing number of ultra-wealthy Americans are handing back their passports.
Private client lawyers and relocation specialists are reporting a surge in wealthy Americans living abroad who are prepared to give up their citizenship to avoid the scrutiny of US tax authorities.
Although such a move means they have to pay an exit tax, lawyers say this is a (…) -

Bank Mafia rules the world
20 August 2009Bank Mafia rules the world By Dr.-Ing. Artur P. Schmidt Thursday, 20 August 2009
Like the Italian Mafia, the Wall Street bankers and intelligent networks are now the prime example of organized crime. They move their customers over the table and go after the taxpayers, if you are on the wrong color at the roulette table set. Financial oligopolies
In 2008, the global financial system completely collapsed. What we were experiencing were nonsensical socialist bailout the few financial (…) -
A comment by Kal
20 August 2009Well, to take Israel, you have the fact that the Druze and “Bedouin” communities outrightly joined the Israeli side after 1948. You can, as Saharawi Citizen says, traitors in any movement. Benedict Arnold? The Algerian independence movement had more than one defector and collaborator.
Arab Israelis are said (by Israelis) to have equal rights to Jewish Israelis; though there are Israelis who challenge that. It really doesn’t matter much if the Sahara is wealthy or poor. The legal status is (…) -

20 August 2009China’s Miracle Economy: Have the Chinese Become the World’s Greatest Capitalists?
Ellen Brown: Author, "Web of Debt" August 17, 2009
I don’t care if it’s a white cat or a black cat. It’s a good cat so long as it catches mice." — Deng Xiaoping, who opened China to foreign investment after 1978 China is being called a "miracle economy." It seems to have decoupled from the rest of the world, preserving an 8% growth rate while the rest of the world sinks into the worst recession since the (…) -
