The scientific method involves a successive process of getting accurate data; setting up and critically testing potentially falsifiable hypotheses (models) of reality; and then refining our models of reality based on this experimentation. A few days ago I came across the news that the Australian government was implementing plans for a no opt-out censored Internet. This will be a multi-million dollar project and will be “mandatory for all Australians”, which means that “Australians will be unable to opt-out of the government’s pending Internet content filtering scheme, and will instead be placed on a watered-down blacklist.”

"TERRORIST!" "KILL him!" "He’s an Arab." "Obama Bucks." John McCain has let the dogs loose. Apparently, he’s decided that if winning the White House means whipping the right wing into a racist frenzy, he’ll lead the charge.
The good news is that a majority of American voters are walking away from the John McCain-Sarah Palin freak show. Even David Letterman is grilling McCain.
