Masters Of War (live at the Bob Dylan 30th anniversary) Eddie, Mike and GE Smith performing a stunning rendition of the Dylan Classic. From: panic82
Come you masters of war, you that build all the guns You that build the death place, you that build all the guns You that hide behind walls, you that hide behind desks I just want you to know, I can see through your masks
You that never done nothing, but to build and destroy You play with my world, like it’s your little toy You put a gun in (…)

Chavez: Castro Predicted Fall of Dollar
13 April 2008Chavez: Castro Predicted Fall of Dollar
Thursday, April 10, 2008.
CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Thursday that his close friend Fidel Castro predicted the fall of the U.S. dollar. Chavez said Cuba’s 81-year-old former president mentioned the prediction some time ago before signs of a weakening dollar had begun to appear.
"Fidel told me one day, ’Chavez, it won’t be long before the crisis of the dollar occurs,’" the Venezuelan leader said in a televised (…) -

US anti-China re Tibet - US & Australia world’s WORST human rights abusers
13 April 2008US Asia Sheriff, Australian PM Rudd has unwittingly exposed Australia as the World’s WORST human rights abuser in attacking alleged Chinese human rights abuses in Tibet.
Australia’s new neo-Bush-ite PM and craven Bush America vassal, Kevin Rudd, has been touring the world for 17 days and non-specifically lecturing it on alleged China human rights abuses in Tibet (as well as cravenly supporting horrendous US militarism).
I have no doubt that such abuses are occurring - indeed highly (…) -
Initial Thoughts On "The Great warming"
13 April 2008I honestly think that we can change the world together, for the better, and get a lot of enjoyment, satisfaction, and fulfillment out of the effort. Additionally, I think that the effort can form the basis for a lot of common ground between people who currently feel divided, and restore our sense of community and connectedness in the process. It can give us a common focus, a common problem, instead of a common "enemy."
I just finished watching "The Great Warming," a film on the scale of (…) -

Bill Clinton 1998 : “Saddam has WMD & will use” (video, 1998)
12 April 2008Bill Clinton Lie on Iraq WMD (video, 1998):
"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow."

Dr Michael PARENTI : Race, Gender and Class Stuggle (1h)
11 April 2008In case you missed it...
Michael Parenti is one of America’s most astute and engaging political analysts. In this talk, he describes how divisions of race and gender have played into — and often against — struggles for economic justice and human rights. He calls on progressive activists to focus on fighting the opprressive power structures that are at the base of wars and economic injustices rather than on differences among ourselves. Parenti also discusses and signs his new book, "The (…) -
Tradesman show
11 April 2008Tradesman show
The proposal by Joe Carter of having a new type of universities league table, reminds me of going shopping. I have learnt from such excursions how a tradesman details all the features of the object of desire, in an effort to sell it to the customer. He or she lists, one by one, all the features to let you know that the object of desire is in reality what you really wanted already.
I have spent many days just looking at and listening to tradesmen/showmen listing all the (…)
