The United States and Iran share an expression of public opinion, one that still causes considerable distress to the majority of British:
[In 1997] the people of Hartford, Connecticut, dedicated a monument to Bobby Sands and the other Irish Republican Army hunger strikers.... The monument stands in a traffic circle known as “Bobby Sands Circle,” at the bottom of Maple Avenue near Goodwin Park. The Iranian government named a street in Tehran (…)

The Bush Administration’s Great State of the Union Ethanol Scam
25 February 2006Did Congress and the Senate "Day Trade" Ethanol on the day of the State of the Union address and rip-off Americans the following morning by selling it off?
It certainly looks as though the marriage between the White House, Senate and Congressional leadership and Wall Street has been exposed.
A side note: On January 18, 2006, Rep. Louise Slaughter stated that she had information relating to Rep. Tom DeLay and Rep. Bill Frist having "day-traders" working out of their offices. She said that (…) -

25 February 2006MSNBC Countdown provides analysis from David Sirotaan who is an expert on big money’s influence on government:
This is not a scandal about one deal with one country. What’s especially motivating the President in his threat to issue a veto is the fact that he knows that if Congress is allowed to override this [deal] a precedent is set.
...
America’s trade policy, for two decades, has entirely been [controlled by] corporate-owned free trade. If this deal is allowed to be blocked it would (…) -
Complicit media : Should They Face War Crimes Prosecutions ?
25 February 2006The journalists who are employed at major outlets have no fig leaf to hind under. In preface , I don’t know believe in war crimes prosection for the moronic neo-con websites . However , well educated , lavishly funded professional war agitators in the cable TV universe as well as their allied magazine and newspaper flagships need to feel the heat. They are no better than the radio announcers who fomented the genocide in Rwanda or hyped Der Fuhrer’s lies and cheered on his (…)

CONSPIRACY PHOBIA
by Dr. June Terpstra
Most people in the west have been programmed by media propagandists to react negatively when they hear the word "conspiracy." They treat anyone who investigates actual conspiracies as an oddball and call them names in an attempt to dismiss and discredit what is being said and what is being investigated at times with thorough and revealing research.
I struggle with this because on one hand history proves that people with power (…) -

25 February 2006Upping the ante in what may be a high-stakes legal battle, an Upstate New York lawyer filed a $20 billion class-action lawsuit against Verizon last week, charging that the company violated customer confidentiality in aiding warrantless eavesdropping by a federal spy agency.
