Boo BBC: Blair says Tutu has "Nothing New to Say"

In a bizarre article, from the BBC, Archbishop Desmond Tutu gets the headline but Tony Blair and Former Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer get the bulk of the article for rebuttal. I guess this is the BBC’s idea of Fox News’ "fair and balanced" approach?
Tutu states that Bush and Blair should be tried at the Hague for starting an illegal war of aggression in Iraq. In a nearly hysterical rebuttal Blair states that "this is the same argument we have had many times with nothing new to say".
O . . .K . . .
So, since the accusation is not "new," it’s not valid? Try THIS on Tony. There is "nothing new to say" because you and Mr. Bush are guilty of war crimes - why say it any other way? Why bring something "new" to the table?
In the interest of being fair and balanced, myself, I will take this opportunity to chastise Archbishop Tutu for comparing Bush and Blair to "playground bullies." Playground bullies, Fr. Tutu, do not have depleted uranium weapons or tactical nuclear "bunker busters."
No sir, these are fascist war criminals.
In the article Mr. Blair goes on to erratically squirm in any direction that might give him an out.
Blair stated, "To repeat the old canard that we lied about the intelligence [on weapons of mass destruction] is completely wrong as every single independent analysis of the evidence has shown."
Well? Where are they? Mr. Bush looked under the table at his annual "let’s bash the president" humorous gala. They weren’t THERE either.
Blair again, "In addition, his slaughter of his political opponents, the treatment of the Marsh Arabs and the systematic torture of his people make the case for removing him morally strong. But the basis of action was as stated at the time."
What? You’re changing from the "weapons of mass destruction" argument to "torture of his people make the case for removing him morally strong" ???
Well . . . as long as we’re talking about torture . . . let’s look in the mirror Mr. Blair. The US and the UK conspired to torture prisoners of war - who are, incidentally, protected under the Geneva Conventions.
Then Mr. Blair unleashes the most desperate quote of the article: "In short this is the same argument we have had many times with nothing new to say. But surely in a healthy democracy people can agree to disagree."
Oh, I see. We can agree to disagree because we are in the morally superior (and therefore cannot be faulted I suppose) "democracies" of the West?
But wait, there’s more. Continuing to squirm Blair says, "I would also point out that despite the problems, Iraq today has an economy three times or more in size, with child mortality rate cut by a third of what it was. And with investment hugely increased in places like Basra."
This is rich. The most important thing, apparently, is that Iraq’s economy has tripled. Never mind that it is because the West is stealing Iraq’s oil. And never mind that they are exposed to depleted uranium and never mind that children are born without faces and never mind that a million Iraqi’s died . . . and . . . on and on. At least Iraq seems to be able attract "hugely increased" investment.
It’s good to have priorities Mr. Blair. Ours is to get you and Mr. Bush tried at the Hague.

Don’t forget to throw Chaney into the Hague pot! Along with Rumsfield, and so many more. My brain has errased these other demonic names as I wish it would errase Bush and Blair too, maybe Alzheimers will come alone and wipe them out someday. No, no I don’t want that but I would like to forget about the "Bush years" all together.

Oh let me help. Koch, Condeleeza Rice, Feith, Powell, Rove, Douglas Coe, Pat Robertson, the FIVE Opus Dei supreme Court judges owned by a criminal Catholic cult controlling Congress, the CIA and much of Washington. (Check out the trilateral commission and the CNP for right wing fascist infiltration by the criminal cult that identifies as "christian" but they are a money laundry and mafia at best. We are seeing the worst on full display everyday, legalized by this sordid lot.

Well said Wolf. The BBC is afterall a "Crown" corporation, meaning the people pay to support it, but it is a corporate news agency owned by the Crown. It too was heavily infiltrated with MI6, MI5 and SOE during WWII, where the BBC actually was used to support the war effort and broadcast coded messages to British, French insurgents (terrorists are what the Nazis called them) who were fighting the Nazi occupation of France. Unfortunately the royal family has always had a large fascist component that seems to have come to the fore in lockstep with that of Rome, long known for one inquisition after another.
Hitler was great buddies with King Edward (before he resigned "to be with the woman he loved" ) and they shipped him off to be the Gov. of the Bahamas throughout WWII. The Brits have a long history of fascism (living in a colony called Canada I can say that). I think Gandhi could tell a few stories if here! We just do not seem to ever have the invasion of other countries for their oil, natural resources and enslavement of the population a topic when it comes to the Western Nations. From the British East India Company whcih used to own India, to British Petroleum, there is a long and brutal history of involvement in twisting the facts.
Flow around them like water. Cancel cable, get everything off your own programmed feeds from the internet which you can run through your TV for a fifth of the price. Their news agencies are nothing but propaganda agancies now against their own countries. Rebuild at a local level. Grow everything you can yourself and use it to barter and trade for other services. If you cannot do that where you are then try to start doing it with a group of like minded thinkers or move where you are better supported. I live in a community where local purchasing has increased by 30-40% in the past year.
Looking for ways to go off the power grid is not a bad idea either with the Koch family buying up grids for cheap through bought public officials like ther boy in WIsconsin.
