For several months, one of my brothers, who is a bit prone to hyperbole, kept insisting that speculation about the election was meaningless, basically because it wasn’t going to happen. He was absolutely convinced that the Bush regime would manufacture some excuse to postpone or cancel the election in a bid to stay in power. However, I did not consider his proposal paranoid (for reasons that should now be obvious to the whole world) and in hindsight, even (...)

Please boycott all US goods and services
9 November 2004 par (Open-Publishing)

Dear World Neighbor,
I am a US citizen asking you, Please boycott all US goods and services until the Bush/Cheney administration withdraws from Iraq and renounces its policy of military aggression against sovereign nations of its choosing. With financial bankruptcy, the US Congress and the other half of the US electorate will be more willing to, at minimum, question and possibly decrease the power of the re-elected Bush/Cheney administration.
Yes, I need you to stop (...) -

Evidence Mounts That The Vote May Have Been Hacked

When I spoke with Jeff Fisher this morning (Saturday, November 06, 2004), the Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida’s 16th District said he was waiting for the FBI to show up. Fisher has evidence, he says, not only that the Florida election was hacked, but of who hacked it and how. And not just this year, he said, but that these same people had previously hacked the Democratic primary race in 2002 so that Jeb Bush would not have to run (...) -
The Electoral College blues: What we get after the red states bankrupt America
9 November 2004 par (Open-Publishing)

Why are the blue states paying for the red states’ crazy spending sprees?
Like uncontrolled pre-teens at a shopping mall, red states with credit cards in hand are running up so much debt on our blue state Mastercard that we both are going under.
Who gave the red states OUR credit card? The Electoral College did it. That’s identity theft!
Isn’t it about time that the Electoral College got sent back to school to take a civics lesson in "Proportional (...) -
Exit polls and ‘actual’ results don’t match; Evoting states show greater discrepancy
9 November 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
CLARIFICATION: THIS REPORT HAS BEEN LARGELY DEBUNKED BY A DETAILED ANALYSIS RAW STORY COMMISSIONED BY A FORMER MIT PROFESSOR, USING A LARGER SAMPLE AND WITH AN EXACT UNDERSTANDING OF ALL STATES USING ELECTRONIC VOTING. PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK TO THE UPDATED STORY.
An analysis of the original AP exit polling, which showed Kerry with a tighter margin and leading in myriad states, raises serious questions about the authenticity of the popular vote in several key states, RAW STORY has (...) -
Machine Error Gives Bush Extra Ohio Votes
9 November 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
By JOHN McCARTHY
Associated Press Writer
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - An error with an electronic voting system gave President Bush 3,893 extra votes in suburban Columbus, elections officials said.
Franklin County’s unofficial results had Bush receiving 4,258 votes to Democrat John Kerry’s 260 votes in a precinct in Gahanna. Records show only 638 voters cast ballots in that precinct. Bush’s total should have been recorded as 365.
Bush won the state by more than 136,000 votes, according to (...) -
The Election Pig of 2004
9 November 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
by Wayne Besen
Not even the fabulous RuPaul could find a shade of lipstick glamorous enough to pretty up Tuesday night’s election pig. The excruciating defeat was an unmitigated disaster for the GLBT community. With the Supreme Court thrown into the equation, there is the very real possibility that some aspects of the movement could be set back decades. Many of my good friends and colleagues are depressed, even despondent, as they well should be. A couple of buddy’s are even thinking of (...) -
Kerry Wins If All Legal Votes Counted in Ohio!
8 November 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
14 commentsYes you read that right, Kerry WINS if all legal votes are counted. Provisionals will count even though they are counted late and if the "spoiled" ballots can be won either by a Dem challenge (which they have decided against but maybe can be pressured on) or a citizen lawsuit(probably one or more people from Ohio) to count these ballots, then Kerry can WIN, even though he conceded! If the Republicans seemed to lose but they knew that all the legal votes were not counted you better (...)

"Capital Guardians: Proven, Vigilant, Ready!" New Jersey School Strafed by Air National Guard F-16
8 November 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsThe good people of Little Egg Harbor in Ocean County, New Jersey, got a taste of what it must be like living in Fallujah or Gaza City these days. The Intermediate School in the small hamlet was strafed with 20mm cannon fire from an F-16 Fighting Falcon jet on the evening of November 3, 2004. Fortunately, there were no injuries except for the pride of the pilot who had apparently inadvertently unleashed the air assault on the school.
The F-16 was attached to the 121st Fighter Squadron (...)
