What’s A Syrian Life Worth?

So what’s a Syrian life worth?

Well, I’m afraid, according to UK Prime Minister David Cameron, not very much.

According to various sources, between 30,000 and 48,090 people have been killed in Syria, including 18,180–19,970 armed combatants consisting of both the Syrian army and rebel forces, and the other half civilians, and up to 2,135 opposition protesters since the country’s civil war began on 5 March 2012. That’s about 4,000 per month or more people each month than were killed when the Twin Towers in New York were demolished.

Another 28,000 people were reported missing including civilians forcibly abducted by government troops or security forces up until October 2012, representing another 4,000 people each month.

Since March 2012 8,000 people are either being killed or abducted each month and according to Cameron and his "friend" Barack H. Obama (AKA Barry Soetoro) the person responsible for all of this carnage is President Bashar al-Assad.

But on Tuesday, while in the United Arab Emirates, Cameron said he will support granting al-Assad safe passage out of Syria.

He said "anything" should be done to help "get the man out of the country and to have a safe transition in Syria".

"Of course I would favour him facing the full force of international law and justice for what he’s done. I am certainly not offering him an exit plan to Britain, but if he wants to leave he could leave, that could be arranged," he told Al Arabiya.

But in contrast, Cameron and his government’s Foreign Secretary and First Secretary of State William Hague have consistently refused to grant safe passage to Julian Assange, who was granted political asylum by the sovereign state of Ecuador in August 2012.

So how much is a Syrian life worth or even 8,000 lives per month?

Not as much as one Australian geek when your ’friend’ in America really wants that person in custody.
