Dear friends,
We invite you to participate in the international campaign "Show Israel the red card" in order to say no to Israel hosting the next European football competition for under 21 that is planned to take place in June 2013.
We have just issued a booklet (48 pages, 11 x17 cm) about the situation inflicted by Israel to Palestinian sportsmen, and Palestinian youth in general,
who are abducted, tortured and imprisoned. This booklet (with many pictures) answers the question:

Nuclear news for the past week
7 September 2012AUSTRALIA. It has been a seemingly quiet week in Australian nuclear news. But then, in the Australian media, it’s always a quiet nuclear week. I have got a bit of a shock, in studying the media as a theme for September, that in fact - the norm for Australia is just to not know anything about nuclear issues. That’s how the nuclear lobby, government and mainstream media like it.
That doesn’t mean that nothing is going on. Alas no. The nuke lobby keeps on. Go to the business pages. Look (…) -

Documents show White House and No 10 conspired over oil-fuelled invasion plan
By Ben Fenton
09/23/03 "The Guardian "— — Nearly 50 years before the war in Iraq, Britain and America sought a secretive "regime change" in another Arab country they accused of spreading terror and threatening the west’s oil supplies, by planning the invasion of Syria and the assassination of leading figures.
Newly discovered documents show how in 1957 Harold (…) -
Back from the ‘Welcome to Palestine’ mission : an unbelievable success !
5 September 2012It was very difficult for the 100 or so campaigners to leave Jordan ; since their arrival on 24 August, they experienced some very intense moments with Palestinians from Jordan.
None of us was really expecting such a welcome. We knew that millions of Palestinians had settled in Jordan, constituting the majority of the country’s population, but we could not imagine how deeply Palestine was rooted in their hearts and their preoccupations.
A 600-kilometre border with Palestine, some 400,000 (…) -
The Real Reason Behind Oil Price Rises - An Interview with James Hamilton
5 September 2012Nowadays the energy picture is confusing at best as the more information we are shown the more blurred our vision seems to become. Mixed messages, poor reporting and a media hungry to sensationalize anything it thinks can grab a headline have led to many wondering what the true energy situation is. We hear numerous reports on how the shale revolution will transform the energy sector, why alternatives are just around the corner, why advances in oilfield extraction techniques and new finds (…)

Boo BBC: Blair says Tutu has "Nothing New to Say"
3 September 2012In a bizarre article, from the BBC, Archbishop Desmond Tutu gets the headline but Tony Blair and Former Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer get the bulk of the article for rebuttal. I guess this is the BBC’s idea of Fox News’ "fair and balanced" approach?
Tutu states that Bush and Blair should be tried at the Hague for starting an illegal war of aggression in Iraq. In a nearly hysterical rebuttal Blair states that "this is the same argument we have had many times with nothing new to say".

The Endless War: Saudi Arabia Goes on the Offensive Against Iran
3 September 2012Saudi Arabia has gone on the offensive against Iran to protect its interests. Their involvement in Syria is the first battle in what is going to be a long bloody conflict that will know no frontiers or limits.
Ongoing Disorders in the island kingdom of Bahrain since February of 2011 have set off alarm bells in Riyadh. The Saudis are convinced that Iran is directing the protests and fear that the problems will spill over the twenty-five kilometer long COSWAY into oil rich Al-Qatif, where (…) -

letter of september to Obama
1 September 2012Mr President Obama The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W.
Washington DC 20500
Mr President,
I had just sent you the “August letter” when I found out that your State Department had put Cuba on the “States Sponsoring International Terrorism” list. In France, every schoolchild learns Jean de La Fontaine’s legend “The Wolf and the Lamb”. In this legend, the wolf accuses the lamb of all the (…) -

Don’t Drink the Kool-Aid (They Pass Around for Free)
If you’re one to quaff the corporate media Kool-Aid, you might think that the Quebec student strike was caused by an isolated instance of unanticipated budget pressures creating the need for a one-time hike in students’ financial contributions towards their post-secondary education in order to meet shortfalls. Gulp.
