Mexico’s Secretary of the Interior, Francisco Blake Mora, has died in a helicopter crash outside Mexico City, officials say.
The helicopter was said to be travelling to Cuernavaca in neighbouring Morelos state for a meeting of prosecutors.
There is no word on the condition of the five other people on board.
Mr Blake took the senior cabinet post last year. The ministry oversees police forces fighting drug cartels.

America’s Media War on Iran
11 November 2011America’s Media War on Iran - by Stephen Lendman
When Washington goes to war or threatens it, America’s media march in lockstep, cheerleading. Fiction substitutes for fact.
News is carefully filtered, dissent marginalized, and supporting imperial belligerence substitutes for full and accurate disclosure.
As a result, patriotism means going along with rogue policies. Never mind rule of law principles and democratic values. Free and open societies are risked. So is humanity if (…) -
AN APPEAL TO UNITED STATES AND ISRAELI AIR, MISSILE AND DRONE CREWS TO STAND DOW
11 November 2011We are at an historic moment when decisions are being made in the United States and Israel on whether and when to attack Iran.
These will be decisions by politicians and individual commanders and air, missile and drone crewmembers charged with the responsibility of raining down munitions in a strike that will likely kill hundreds if not thousands of Iranian people and potentially spread deadly nuclear contamination to millions in Iran and surrounding nations.
Beyond this, an attack (…) -

Twenty-five years ago, this former Israeli nuclear technician exposed the existence of his country’s nuclear arsenal, tearing down the wall of Israel’s secrecy and hypocrisy. To this day, Israel refuses to (…) -

U.S. Plans Bomb Sales in Gulf to Counter Iran
11 November 2011The Obama administration has quietly drawn up plans to provide a key Persian Gulf ally with thousands of advanced "bunker-buster" bombs and other munitions, part of a stepped-up U.S. effort to build a regional coalition to counter Iran.
The proposed sale to the United Arab Emirates would vastly expand the existing capabilities of the country’s air force to target fixed structures, which could include bunkers and tunnels—the kind of installations where Iran is believed to be developing (…) -
When Human Values are Debased
11 November 2011Throughout history man has committed atrocity upon atrocity on his fellow man, and little boys, but only when it affects next Saturday’s football game does it create such pandemonium in the student body.
The coach has been sacked along with several high administrators and possibly more will follow down the gangplank for the sacrificial walk. Anything to quiet the righteous and the press. Well, not really, the press thrives on bad news. And the righteous, well, it gives them something else (…) -
Remembrance Day palindrome: at 11.11.11 on 11.11.11 remember war civilian deaths
11 November 2011At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of each year since the WW1 Armistice Day in 1918 people have held 1 minute’s silence to remember the war dead. However in subsequent wars civilian deaths vastly outnumbered military deaths as killing technology advanced.
On Remembrance Day (Armistice Day) we should remember all who died in wars, both civilians and soldiers. 12 million Muslims, mostly civilians, have died so far in the post-1990 US War on Muslims.
Remembrance Day (…) -
October 2011: The US$ fall accelerates against the €, ¥, Ұ and R$ basket
10 November 2011October 2011: The US$ fall accelerates against the €, ¥, Ұ and R$ basket
As our team has explained in many GEAB issues, the traditional Dollar Index (used by the financial markets) isn’t a reliable indicator for calculating the Dollar’s progress. In fact, it is based on a basket of currencies which is no longer representative, neither of the major global monetary balances, nor United States’ trade. This currency basket is, in fact, a "tiny Western club" even more illegitimate today than (…) -
Occupy Zionism
10 November 2011Occupy Zionism
The 99% Must Succeed! Occupy DC, Oakland, Atlanta, Boston, Wall Street, Oppression, Zionism, Occupy Everything! by Johnny Punish In the US, we are in the midst of a massive movement that aims directly at the system of government and it’s complete and utter contempt for the American people. This darn thing is growing and is having worldwide implications.
As it relates to the upcoming Palestine statehood peace question, I really think this Occupy movement might be on (…)
