Outstanding South Asian UK writer, historian, journalist and film-maker Tariq Ali (author of “Clash of Fundamentalisms” and many other books: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tariq_Ali ) has written a powerful statement on the ongoing Iraqi genocide on the occasion of the approaching 5th anniversary of the war criminal UK, US and Australian invasion of Iraq on 20 March 2003: http://www.brusselstribunal.org/Mes... .

This is the statement to the World by outstanding South Asian-British writer Tariq Ali:

QUOTE: “Now we know the exact costs of war and occupation. It has cost the United States and its allies three trillion dollars to kill one million dead Iraqis, wound a million more and drive two million Iraqis out of their country as refugees. The human cost of this war would, if some other country were doing it, be labelled genocide. The leaders who went to war would be tried as war criminals, but this is the war of ’western civilization’ against Islamo-barbarians, Islamo-fascists and all the other names given to the new enemy. Abusing, defaming, killing Muslims is now calmly accepted in Euro-American culture. The people who do this have institutionalised the judeocide of the Second World War as the only universal crime. As long as you denounce that crime, you can commit your own crimes today. This is the world we live in. This is the world of double-standards. Why the surprise when those under fire refuse to accept these standards. A modest proposal. Perhaps the Nobel Prize Committee should institute a new award: the Nobel Prize for War Crimes. Tariq Ali - Writer, historian, journalist and film-maker.” END QUOTE

The Bush Wars have been associated with post-invasion excess deaths in the Occupied Iraqi and Afghan Territories totalling 1.5-2 million and 3-6 million, respectively; post-invasion under-5 infant deaths totalling 0.6 million and 2.3 million, respectively; and refugees totalling 4.5 million and 4 million, respectively (as estimated in late 2007). It is not known what proportion of excess deaths are violent or non-violent in America’s Auschwitz, Occupied Afghanistan – but the ratio is about 1 to 1 in Occupied Iraq (see Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide: http://ruddaustraliareportcard.blog... and “US-Israeli State Terrorism. World’s #1 Terrorist States”: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/209... ) .

Decent people around the World are obliged to follow Tariq Ali’s example and PROTEST the ongoing US-, UK- and Australian-imposed Iraqi Genocide and Iraqi Holocaust.

Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity – we are obliged to (a) INFORM everyone we can about the horrendous Iraqi Genocide, Iraqi Holocaust and Afghan Genocide, Afghan Holocaust and (b) ACT) by applying Sanctions and Boycotts (as we did successfully against the Apartheid South Africa) to war criminal Bush America, its war criminal UK, Australian and NATO allies and the Racist Zionists, Racist Bush-ites and war-mongering Hillary Clinton-style neo-Bush-ites complicit in this carnage.

I have taken a useful initiative by making a formal complaint to the International Criminal Court over Australian involvement in Indigenous Australian Aboriginal Genocide, Indigenous Iraqi Genocide, Indigenous Afghan Genocide and Climate Genocide acutely threatening and impacting Indigenous People throughout the World http://climateemergency.blogspot.co....
