Evacuee: "They blew the levee to save the city..." Saying a barge broke the levee. She is from St. Bernard Parish. "More expensive places were saved at the expense of the neighborhoods that aren’t as valuable... Rebuilding Bourbon Street matters more to the government... that’s what mattered to Governor Blanco..."

    • First of all this is rediculous but lets say for a moment that it did happen. Wouldn’t it make sence to save the more expensive homes. The poor homes were in shambles before the storm. The flood has ruined them even further. They will have to be torn down. The "GOVERNMENT", me and the rest of the tax paying people in this country will be paying to rebuild new homes for the non-working uneducated poor.
      Saving Bourbon Street also would have made sense (enven though it is on the highest ground in New Orleans) because that area raises alot of the money (taxes) that it will take to repare the damage done by the hurricane.

      If for no other reason but to keep the rebuilding cost down. Its cheaper to rebuild small homes than big ones.

      If the Superdome had been filled with middle class or upper class people none of these crimes of rape and murder would have ever occurred. This isn’t a race issue at all it is a class issue. The people that do little or nothing to help them selves. Just rely on the Government for their existance. "I don’t need an education the government sends me my money" I have heard it many times. Remember broke is a temperary economic condition that hard work can conquer, poor is a way of life. People that don’t try to better them selves, don’t take advantage of all the chances they are given to make their life better. Take the easy way sell drugs, take drugs, loot, basically anything so they don’t have to work.

    • People who are excluded from participating in an economy are forced to survive by other means, including welfare. Please get an education yourself. If you believe that many minorities are not victims of predjudice and are allowed to access the best opportunities available, I ask you to refer to a good history book.       My disappointment with poor minorities is that they are not fully intune with the power and culture they possess. Minorities, especially Afro-Americans have given "rich" America its content. Be aware the consciousness of the poor is rising and the monkey that stays on their back constantly trying to keep them down, will be removed.

    • All too often the uninformed’s answer to disenfranchisement is to move, get a job, etc. What the uninformed refuse to acknowledge is that moving is not the easiset thing to do. If you are living at a subsistence level, moving to a suburban area is cost prohibitive. It has higher living cost and most likely less public transportation. Not to mention the extensive discrimination in housing and employment. And, for those attempting to educate themselves within the morass of inner-city public schools, simply graduating with good grades is not enough. Most public schools fail to provide even the most basic education, and the graduates are not capable of obtaining more than minimum wage employment. Instead of fixing the curriculum, governments focus on using culturally biased tests to gage how ineffective they are at educating their wards. If you want to see real change, demand accountability for school and curriculum development in urban areas.

I’ve been a resident of Baton Rouge all my life and I love the city of New Orleans regardless of the flaws we as African Americans face in the city. If this person would step foot for one day and see the conditions people are forced to live, then he or she could understand why somethings happebned the way they did. This person also talked about oppurtunity, the school’s weren’t granting the equal oppurtunity for African Americans to prevail, but regardless we still pushed for a change. For this person to say his tax dollars aren’t worth reubuilding a historic neighborhood New Orleans just shows how racist this country really is, and what we as African Americans are up against.     • You insensitive jerk. I’m from New Orleans and let me tell you something the crimes that did occur were a result of NO law & order and a complete beakdown of society. Those people who remained were left to die like animals for damn near a week. Everywhere has those who prey on innocent people. No protection was afforded to those left behind you know, the poor people. Even a"middleclass" person would begin to lose it after experiencing that. My Aunt went to the Superdome because she was told that help would be there. Help wasn’t there but you know that was? Dead bodies and feces and no it wasn’t all over the place cause these were poor people. Second thing, massive suffering . Suffering I doubt you could imgaine much less cope with. There was no water or food. Any suggestions on how they were supposed to survive? Oh, stealing is wrong let’s just wait for someone to help us! What would you have done when your baby is dying of thrist, literally? What state would you have been in if everything you ever knew in life was gone just like that? What state would you have been in if you witnesssed people needlessly dying in front of your face and remaining there dead as if there life had zero value.       There should be a poll of how many people would like to go live below sea level and live next to the fragile sea walls? aka "The Levees".     • Let’s talk about moving. One week before the hurricane hit New Orleans I was on vacation, in Latin America, in my hotel room with my girlfriend, as we watched the National Weather Service, you know, the National Weather Service, one arm of the Government that "killed" all the po’ folks in New Orleans, repeatedly warn of a large storm coming and urging, in no uncertain terms, that people leave the city. Lovely tica said to me "Will the people leave?" and I said "No, because Americans are fat, lazy, stupid, and depend on handouts from the same government they revile so often." Sure enough, the fools stayed, even though most of the, now dead, fools knew that their city was, for the most part, 6 to 8 feet below sea level. Levees break every year all along the Mississippi River, I know, I’ve seen them go and they make an incredible boom when thousands of tons of water crash through them; think of the explosive force required to punch through hundreds of tons of concrete and/or earth. Yet, the pandering politicians of Washington allowed fools to offer testimony that they "heard the explosions" as the government blew up the levees. There are plenty of conspiracies out there, but this isn’t one of them. The po’ folks in my town see government boogeymen everywhere, but on the first of the month, when the government boogeyman called mailman brings them their disability, social security, and other checks---they are the only ones outside on their porches waiting to greet the representative of the oppressive totalitarian state. If the check ain’t there, dey be callin’ da man and raisin’ such a fuss! Fact is, if the people had left like the government told them to, a lot of problems would never have happened. They stayed, since the levees had held up until then through the years, but this time they didn’t. The fools in New Orleans played the odds and they LOST—similar to what happens to people on the east coast sometimes when they have "hurricane parties" as the storm hits. As for leaving, well, let me say this to the social apologists, if I was 75 and in a wheel chair, I could still cover a lot of miles in 7 days. At the very least, I would have the sense to TRY and leave and, hopefully, the dumb bunnies in New Orleans who are still alive, through luck and not intelligence, will know next time to listen to their oppressive totalitarian government when a huge storm shows up on radar screens.     • It is ridiculous to even think some folks or areas should have been targeted to save a few others. A local news station quoted a census report that 80% of the Katrina victims were employed, had businesses, worked, were retired and/or owned their own homes. Not to mention those victims with college degrees. Stereotypical ignorance has no value when so many people are displaced and too many lives lost and destroyed. This Administration (from the white house to the out house) has failed these people. Friendship and favoritism does not and should not have allowed incompetent individuals to head an organization which required logical thinking, experience and the ability to perform the duties of the job. Thousands of mobile homes are sitting on a lot in Arkansas at a cost of $25,000 per month to tax payers, in addition to the cost of these homes. Why haven’t these home been sent to Katrina victims? My tax dollars are involved here and I hate waste in any form.

      Hmmm, shall I go through your text and point out all of YOUR spelling and punctuation errors?

      My my, there certainly are a lot of mean-spirited and insulting posts here - much name-calling, to be sure. Katrina brought to the forefront everything that is wrong within our country and culture; and clearly people have very strong opinions about it. This isn’t all about a one-time event - it is about an ongoing crisis in our country.

      First of all, let me start by saying that I am a well-educated, middle-class white woman, living in Michigan. (As an aside, I happened upon this site because I was searching for the location of the 17th Street Levee; I wanted to see if it was near the house of an acquaintance with whom I had lost contact. I wanted to determine if his house on Lake Pontchartrain could have been destroyed.) I work in the automotive industry in project management, and, as many of you may know, the automotive industry is suffering; consequently, I have been laid off numerous times. There were times in which I could barely afford to buy food for my daughter and me. I also lost my house as a result of being unemployed and unable to find work (Michigan has the highest foreclosure rate in the country - 2 1/2 times the national average). I am back at work in automotive, but, due to the instability, I intend to move out of Michigan and find a career in a different field.

      The reason I mention all of the above is two-fold:
      1) to illustrate that hard times in which we need to depend upon the government can befall nearly anyone.
      2) to also point out some of the activities behind the scenes which are designed to decimate the lower and middle classes. What I am referring to specifically has already been mentioned by many on this site: the Illuminati, the New World Order, the Global Elite, the Bilderberger, the Carlyle Group - the list goes on. I am pleased to see that many are aware of this, but many more need to be alerted. However, I fear that our country may be too far gone to be saved. The Powers That Be in Washington are all deeply enmeshed in these groups. Does anyone know that Rumsfeld owns millions of dollars of stock in a company called Gilead Sciences, which developed Tamiflu and then sold the rights to Roche? Roche pays Gilead a royalty on every tablet sold. Do you think the Avian Flu (which magically appeared out of nowhere) may have been engineered somehow by the Global Elite to both line their pockets and wipe out populations? What about AIDS - do you really think it jumped from a monkey to a human? Do you also know that Rumsfeld single-handedly championed and forced the FDA to approve Aspartame after they’d first denounced it? He was well aware of the negative FDA reports on it at the time, as well as the suppressed private research reports. But, apparently, he had stock in the main company making Aspartame. An example of poisoning for profit. There are many other such examples: MSG, fluoride, formaldehyde, Splenda. And, of course, we’re all familiar with the Dubai debacle. Why do you suppose Bush was so insistent upon the deal? How about this: "Investors from the United Arab Emirates helped fund the $23 million Neil Bush raised for Ignite!, the learning systems company that holds lucrative ’No Child Left Behind Act’ contracts in Florida and Texas." Every Bush on the planet, and some former politicians like Gore and the Clintons, travel over to the UAE for the express purpose of sucking up to them. By the way, Gore and the Clintons are part of the Global Elite, as well. Cecil Rhodes, the gentleman who funded the Rhodes scholarship (Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar), was the first leader of the Round Table, a British-based secret society and part of the Illuminati. Rhodes Scholars are indoctrinated into the ways of the Illuminati and most have become leaders in the arenas of finance, government, military, industry, etc.

      It all goes on and on. Just doing some research on the internet will serve to enlighten you - of course, you have to weave your way through the crackpots and crazies.

I don’t really think that you understand the severity of the situation. There are so many that lost everything regardless of their social class and most importantly GOD says that we are all equal and that something that you should learn to live by, if you were to die to day or tommorrow what would you leave here with, RIGHT absolutely NOTHING, and that what KATRINA left so many victims with NOTHING. Before you call them lifeless, worthless, government dependents first say a small prayer for them. What if a natural diaster such as a tornado or something was to hit your home or what have you and leave you homeless for the moment what would you do. You may have insurance but what if they only pay so much and leave you in a situation, would you consider yourself POOR. What if you have to take your life savings to rebuild and is force to live from pay check to pay check until you rebuild your security would you consider yourself POOR? Before you criticize make yourself useful and help whether its a prayer or just a few kind word to help a person along the way. At the end of the day we are all GOD’S children whether you are educated & POOR or not. I wasn’t in New Orleans at the time of Katrina but I was affected by her devistation, I experience the agony of being without power for days, the hot dark nights. Fortunately, I was bless to have a generator and was able to cook and watch television as long as we were able to keep fuel in it due to the fact that fuel became a very scarce resource. You know it really saddens me to see that so many people could be so harsh to these VICTIMS regardless of what kind of house they were living in Pre-Katrina it was theirs it may not have been to your standards or my standards but it was theirs and they loss it.

Perhaps is did make more sense, economically, to flood the smaller, poorer homes. But why weren’t the people, the citizens, informed of the plan, so that they could have escaped? Instead, they were not told, a severe injustice has taken place, and many lives were lost.

    • There are more minorities who are poor due to where they come from and how our country has treated them throughout history — this is covert discrimination, and the issue is much more complex than many ignorant people realize. Remember, it takes money to make money, and in the beginning the wealthy whites (mostly English) who stole the land from the Indians, took power, land, resources, and therefore had the most money, and still do. The blacks freed from slavery had nothing to start with and were discriminated against and still are. Of all of the false arrests by white police officers where DNA is now showing they are innocent, the majority are black. If for example, you are isolated in black neighborhoods (many whites wouldn’t let them into their neighborhoods) usually near unhealthy environments (power plants, polluting smokestacks, crime), and have little money to access healthy food, and then you’re often accused of crimes you don’t commit that put a blemish on your record that prevents you from being hired on jobs, or you aren’t hired even if you have no record because of your color, etc., moving up the ladder of success can be almost impossible. It is VERY hard to get out of this environment, where you may fear for your life when you have to walk to school, where you are pressured to sell drugs or you die, when you have no transportation, few job opportunities within reach of where you are located, and may be the child of a drug addict so you’re born with health problems and addictions. Until you walk a mile in someone else’s moccasins you should not judge. And the $100 per month per person the government gives to welfare recipients is hardly living on the hog. We give more corporate welfare to big business.

    • Funny, I was in Latin America, visiting a friend in Brasil when the levees broke in New Orleans. I happened to be visitng the family of a very good friend (wasnt in my hotel room with lovely Tica on this occassion--- she´s dissilusioned by mass media and superficial Hollywood films— believeing that all Americans, us from the Northern portion, are all wealthy with endless bags of green paper— I had to teach her otherwise). I also taught her that povery exists in the richest most poerful country in the world. The one that sends great amounts to support the war (killing of mainly innocent women and children) and destruction of Iraq to simply send even more money to help rebuild it--- supposedly to find weapons of mass destruction— supposeldy to bring freedom and democracy by way of machine gunfire and bombs dropped from the blue sky. What does government do for New Orleans? The same they did for the victims of The Great Chicago Fires, the Hispanic Chavez Ravine community in L.A. for the South Central Farmers of the same city and many other victims of tragedy--- broken promises, beaurocratic corruption, capitalists pounding of the poor--- enforced poverty I may add and it´s collateral evils--- crime and ignorance. Tragedy is big business! Despotism and the usurpers step in to take advantage at every corner— they are expanding for Latin Americ too, with Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay having the largest quantity of natural sweet water in the world. I think I told Tica or someone with a similar name that US troops are already based in Paraguay and their are protests in the region connecting Paraguay, Argentina and Brasil. If indications prove correct, future wars will only reflect the disguised democratic war of Iraq and Afghanistan (and threats of neighboring countries in the region), to take advantage of their oil, in that they will be disguised to take advantage of water... and ever dying resource. Certainly the people of America are fed up with their dictatorial government.. the democrats and republicans... really it is big business that rules. Government can go on vacation for years and America will remain the same. Feeding of the people, unable to iliminate crime, unable to do anything about poverty, unable to foster a since of true love and solidarity. If the victims of New Orleans are made to look like the fault of their own misery what chance does Tica, or any hispanic or South American have? If your opinion of someone from New Orleans is soooo damn trifling I wonder what you think of an Lebanese, an Afghan, an Iraqi child or woman killed by US troops, a young, sexy Brazilian girl walking along a Praia de Ipanema or Manuela D´Avila, the young, sexy Brazilian female communist who recieved the most votes in the past Brazilian election to become the new member of The House of Representatives? From my perspective and travels through Latin America, I can assure you, that the overwhelming majority of Latin Americans I´ve encountered show solid solidarity with the people of New Orleans and view the inaction of the U.S. government toward their own people as a clear indication that it´s worldly might, expressed through legalized theft, has nothing serene instore for them. But, as my roots spread throughout New Orleans to Santo Domingo and it´s brethren kind, I positively reassure you with a warm, friendly heart that death is nothing but a thing, the Loas and the spirit of the Lucumis have always been on our side---- hurricane, floods, U.S. military occupation of it´s own city, socialism, capitalism, communism, anarchism or naught.

      He is setting up the sting. They will claim that the EPA requires extensive clean up because of the bacteria and health hazards. FEMA does not have the authority of law to pay for clean up on private property. That means that the poor people who owned the homes in the flood ravaged area will have to pay for EPA mandated clean up of hazardous waste. Obviously they won’t be able to afford it so they will have to take the pennies on the dollar that FEMA will offer them for their homes. FEMA will then sell the property to corporate developers to build an International Port and tourist mecca for gambling or whatever.

      The levee broke in the middle of the night after the storm passed - and on the river side where the corp had been doing construction. Coincidently, the two of the pumps broke at the very same moment as the levee opened up.

By intentionally causing more water to fill the city the Bush Administration has suspended gravity and actually kept a portion of the city dry while flooding it.     • My wife said she saw a CNN reporter on live TV (approx. 1 week ago) saying that a large oil resources were found within the last year in the poor area where the flooding occured. My wife said that just as the reporter was talking about it she was immediately cut off. Then after 20 seconds of "technical difficulty" she came back on talking about the damage done to some condominiums. No more talk of striking oil in that area again. I haven’t heard about this any where else.
      I do know, however, that that sure sounds like a strong motivation to blow up that levee. Wipe out the people and take it over.
      I believe that if our own government (or people that control things behind the scenes) commited this atrocity and others (e.g. 911, weather manipulation etc.) like so many say, they are about to be exposed. You can just feel it.

  • The tragedy is not that the levees were breached (either through inadequacy or a barge), the tragedy is the breakdown of civility in New Orleans. The looting, raping, pillaging of a bunch of marauders - and yes they were BLACK PEOPLE - on the most vulnerable of New Orleans has always been there unbeknownst to the outside world. It was these people that also made aiding and rescuing such a hazardous job for the rescuers; these people were the ones who were shooting at medical personnel, search and rescue teams, policemen, firefighters and all the others that were trying to help. It is because of these violent black marauders that surrounding towns near New Orleans did not want to open shelters prior to the hurricane because they were afraid of getting beaten up by these violent people. New Orleans, The Big Easy, had become a violent, dirty, corrupt, rotten sinkhole. Big cities across the USA showed a decline in hard crimes but not in New Orleans. The hurricane just exposed the disgusting mess to the outside world.

  • Just days after the storm a writer, Henry Makow, who is highly respected in internet circles, stated that he knew the levees were bombed. At the time I thought that was way over the top. Then a second article appeared which drew attention to the curious delay between the passage of the storm surge and the seven hours later that the critical pump in the 9th Ward failed immediately before the levee was breached at four in the morning. Now we have what I guess are ear witness accounts. Perhaps our barbarous foreign policy has, indeed, come home to roost.

  • The canal levee was concrete several feet thick. It was rammed well after the class 2 storm hit by a grain barge. When the canal levee broke, the levee was blown near the 9th ward to divert the flow away from the quarter and, more importantly, the gated community of Audobon Place, a section of the city near the Garden District replete with personal helipads that still has running water and sewage.

    This is nothing new. Read the history of the 1927 flood and see how the bankers blew the river levees to protect New Orleans and then later completely reneged on written contracts to rebuild the devistated Cajun and Black parishes. They controlled the courts and nullified all agreements to compensate.

    The past is Prologue.

      New Orleans, LA — Divers inspecting the ruptured levee walls surrounding New Orleans found something that piqued their interest: Burn marks on underwater debris chunks from the broken levee wall!

      One diver, a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, saw the burn marks and knew immediately what caused them. When he surfaced and showed the evidence to his superior, the on-site Coordinator for FEMA stepped-in and said "You are not here to conduct an investigation as to why this rupture occurred, but only to determine how best to close it." The FEMA coordinator then threw the evidence back into the water and said "You will tell no one about this."

      At that point, the diver went back down to do more inspection of the levee. On the second dive, he secreted a small chunk of the debris inside his wet suit and later arranged for it to be sent to trusted military friends at a The U.S. Army Forensic Laboratory at Fort Gillem, Georgia for testing.

      According to well placed sources, a military forensic specialist determined the burn marks on the cement chunks did, in fact, come from high explosives. The source, speaking on condition of anonymity said "We found traces of boron-enhanced fluoronitramino explosives as well as PBXN-111 embedded in the debris. This would indicate at least two separate types of explosive devices."

      The levee ruptures in New Orleans did not take place during Hurricane Katrina, but rather a day after the hurricane struck. Several residents of New Orleans and many Emergency Workers reported hearing what sounded like large, muffled explosions from the area of the levee, but those were initially discounted as gas explosions from homes with leaking gas lines.

      If these allegations prove true, the ruptured levee which flooded New Orleans was a deliberate act of mass destruction perpetrated by someone with access to military-grade UNDERWATER high explosives.

While America was sleeping off the devastation, 25 states, (which represent 70% of the population) were brilliantly placed under Martial law (OOps, I mean a State of Emergency), by G.W. Patriot Act 2, and the emergancy powers act are in force right now on 70% of the population. When California and Virginia come on board that will be a total of 82% of the American population. Interesting choice of states to put under Martial... I mean State of Emergency.

  • I lived a block from the breach in the 17th Street Canal. Because I was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis, I walked around the neighborhood on a regular basis. Just before Katina, two lots and the levee were bulldozed in preparation for new homes at the south side of where the breach occurred. Ground cover and part of the levee were removed.   • I never wanted to believe something like this could happen in my country. I am in Slidell and have been without electric 18days so have seen no TV coverage. Do I believe now? I guess I have to as FEMA/Red Cross have refused to help most of us that stayed within the Katrina area. I am so ashamed of my country, my president, but my city the Great New Orleans will be back. We are a great people and we will fight for the right to live and work where our hearts are.

    • Okay—I’m sitting in a hotel room with my two children, after being wiped out by Katrina. I’m white, educated, middle-class, and American. Not everyone was poor and black. The 17th Street Levee, which broke, was actually in an area of a all white, middle-class to very affluent area. I am NOT a conspiracy person. I don’t even know how I found this site, but I am fascianted. This website has sent me on a search for the truth...a truth I’m not liking very much.

      But, I’ll tell you what I learned after living in New Orleans for 4 years. The levees were built to 20 ft around the city, except along Lake Ponchatrain, only 15 ft, because it was never completed. These heights were the "original" heights and had diminshed over time. Both my real estate agent who sold me our house and an insurance broker told me that a strong hurricane two could breach the levees. I saw evidence of this after a tropical storm. The water had gone halfway up the levee. There has always been a plan to "break" the levees if flooding was to occur, but I was told they would flood Chalmette, a poor area east of New Orleans. This was told to me by people whose families had lived there for generations. It was common knowledge. Do I believe they’d break the levees, yes, but I can’t fathom why it was the 17th St. Levee.

      Something is horribly amiss in New Orleans and I mourn her loss. We’d only lived there for 4 years, but we loved it. Now we’re rebuilding in a city that’s foriegn to us and having to explain to a 2 and 4 year old why we can’t go home. I also believe our Mayor, Ray Nagin, does have valid fears for his safety. I think he knows the truth of what went on there and is afraid to tell. Our government has shut out all offers of help and just let people die. They’ve also censored the press and prevented accurate accountings of the amount of dead. All the computer models said 10,000 dead; they say less than a 1,000. The EPA refuses to report their findings on the testing of the water from the flooding. Assuring everyone it’s safe. I’m not assured and we’re not returning!

      I said I’m not a conspiracy nut, but my husband is. He loves this stuff! When Bush was elected he wanted to move out of the country. I figured, okay it’s only 4 years. Then he was re-elected my husband was crazed, but still I figured we (the country) can survive four more years, how much worse can it get? Now we’re homeless, with nothing more than some clothes and our family pictures. I guess it couldn’t get any worse, huh?

    While it is possible that the bombed levees were never properly rebuilt causing the structural damage which allowed them to breach this time...
    It is equally possible that the same tactic was after Katrina used for the same reason.

  • i live in metairie not far from the 17th street canal. i know for a fact that there was a barge in the canal, right by the new bridge they built at old hammond hwy. i know it was there the day before the storm hit cause i rode out to west end and i saw it on the way. also the next day on tv they were showing aerial views of the canal levee breach ,there was definetly a barge on the wrong side up against a house. what happened to those photos. did they all of a sudden disappear?

  • I have been looking and listing to the news broadcast concerning the storms that hit New Orleans and other areas. I am a resident of New Orleans and do not understand why everyone in a position of authority has decided to destroy the lower ninth ward of this city.
    The main thing is the news media is under the impression the lower ninth ward has suffered this type of devastation twice, and because of this the area is not safe. I understand news has to be censored for various reasons, but should this type of censorship continue at the expense of the poor black people of the ninth ward.
    I will admit this is the second time the ninth ward has been flooded, but the first flooding happened because the mayor of the city at that time Victor H. Schiro blew up the levee in the ninth ward to keep the white sections of the city from flooding. I understand the news media reports the information that is given, but it appears the news media has been misinformed, once again.
    It has also been reported FEMA will pay to have the ninth ward destroyed. If this happens, what happens to the people of the ninth ward? Will they ever come home again, or is this part of the big picture.
    I would like to see the news media to do more investigating concerning the levee in the ninth ward. First verify the fact the levee was blown up, second what was the location of the charge, and third was this the same location that the levee failed during Katrina. This should make for interesting reading, and give everyone an idea of what the big picture really is. It seems every one has forgotten what really happened during Betsy, or just ashamed to report what really happened. I do not believe all the old timers in the ninth ward have faded away, they are still there, and I feel they would want the entire truth to be told, not a half-truth.
    I have not seen any reporting of the Central City or Gert town areas of New Orleans. These areas are the neighborhoods where a lot of the poor people live. We would like to know what progress is being made in the areas where we live. Do we have power, water, or gas? The people in these areas are probably feeling unwanted. I can understand the Central Business District is the area that brings in money to the city, but the neighborhoods are the areas where the work force comes from.
    In conclusion the decision on the ninth ward will be made be people who do not live in the city or understand what has made the city what it is. The second line everyone talks about, this started in the black neighborhoods. The Madi Grais Indians started in these same neighborhoods. The second line clubs and the Indians will be no more if the government does not get this thing right. Are the developers going to make the decision on what happens to the ninth ward, or will the people have a voice in this matter. According to the news report FEMA is making the city an offer it can not refuse to destroy the ninth ward. Every one has talked about the culture of the city, but what will the culture be like without the neighborhoods.

    • I think I see the big picture now. The mayor of New Orleans in cahoots with
      FEMA decided to get rid of the finacial drain called the ninth ward by
      waiting on a hurricane. While everybody was busy getting out, under the cover
      of the storm Navy Seals swam to the levee and planted explosives. Using the
      remote controled barge they steered it into the levee and blew it up. With no
      homes to go to they could transplant the welfare dependants for other states
      to pick up the tab. They won’t be back with no homes to go to. Now with FEMA
      grants they can rebuild the ninth ward with time share condos full of people
      ready to spend money on gambling,booze and whores.

  • when I went to new Orleans in August of ‘07 our bus driver(on the tour) took us to his neighborhood which was the ninth ward which was still in totally wreckage. He told us his heartfelt story, he lost his parents and son in the hurricane. He told us how they sacrificed his neighborhood for the one’s with the lawyers and doctors and the “valuable” neighborhood. He said I know people may have told you the levees breached but not here they blew up the levee. I thought how can a person choose whether to kill or save a neighborhood, the ninth ward wouldn’t have been that bad if it wasn’t for that.

    • I am in Sydney, Australia and even from here, after the obvious false flag op’ on 9/11, it was easy to tell that something was not right in Louisiana.
      A couple of weeks after the tragedy, while all the world’s press were focusing on the slow response of Bush and the initial cleanup, we had a mysterious visitor to the "music mile" in Sydney-an area famous for music shops.
      This snake skin panted, alligator skin booted fantastic looking Afro-American man in his late-fifties claimed to be a well-known musician from New Orleans. I had no reason to argue as he approached me outside the guitar shop at which I work.
      After introducing himself, we shared a joint and he asked me if I was aware of the current state of the USA, particularly New Orleans. He wanted to know what we were hearing as musicians around the world with our particularly open minds and a healthy skepticism of the establishment.
      I explained that I had a lot of Afro-American friends through my music and we had done an album about 9/11 as an inside job beginning in November of 2001 a mere 2 months after the event. Nearly ten years later my opinion has only been affirmed.
      On hearing this, my new friend began to explain the events that unfolded before his very eyes. I will do my best to quote verbatem.
      He said that after the hurricane passed the people began to emerge from their homes to inspect the damage. The levee was intact and there was minimal damage from the wind. As a fairly large group of locals were assmebled to see the condition of the levee, including my friend, a US Navy ship was seen to move in close to the levee. Then they watched in shock as a No.9 Navy Sea Mine was pushed into position. As this was happening, many people who tried to get back to their homes in certain areas after following orders to evacuate were blocked by Blackwater forces. Once they had seen the storm pass they tried to go home and were stopped.
      Then the mine was detonated and the floodwaters rolled in. The explosion was heard by many and all flooding was reported after the storm had passed.
      The fact that whole swathes of this land are still vacant should show those incapable of free thought that there was a plan in action from day one, just as 9/11 was to get oil and stimulate the arms industry. These false flags will continue as long as people live with closed minds and an intelligensia and media run by the Illuminati.
