“The shepherd always tries to persuade the sheep that their interests and his own are the same.” - Stendhal
The propaganda machine of the Evangelical Christian Right will soon be in counter attack mode. One of its darling preachers is about to take it on the proverbial chin. The Rev. Billy Graham, who has created a multimillion dollar media empire, that a Rupert Murdock would envy, is the subject of a shocking expose’ due out on Nov. 15, 2007. It’s entitled, “The Prince of War: Billy (…)

15 September 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsIn the spirit of Ramadan I as an American citizen wish to apologize to the Iraqi people for your insurmountable loss you have felt since my government chose to invade your country back in March of 2003. I know that these are but words, but words are all I have at this point to offer you.
Many like me have called upon our elected representatives to end this war and all it does is fall on deaf ears. At times, I feel as if we are just as helpless as you are.
I have never seen you as my (…) -

CHIMES OF FREEDOM
Despite all the pre-demonstration bragging of Islamophobic groups like the SIOE the much-vaunted demo against the "Islamization of Europe" (sic) came to naught. It was a wash-out with just a few dozen groups daring to break the law and show their hate-filled faces. The BBC, always favouring the Right, reported attendance at around two hundred. 24 Heures reported it as much less.

Preparing for 9/9/9
By Daniel Jacob
Greetings, all....... It seems that the theme of Harvest and New Beginnings is just about upon us. We have September 9 and September 18 coming up.....as "double 9s"occurring in the year 2007 (2 +7=9). Numerologically, this is a powerful invocation for winding up projects and connections that have reached fruition. And isn’t that the true meaning behind our concept of HARVEST? The belief around being "finished" with something in 3D is something (…) -
Hit them and hit them hard

Channel Four, producers of the "investigative" programme, Dispatches, have been reported to the industry regulator, Ofcom, by the West Midlands police for undermining community cohesion by misreporting the words of a Muslim preacher at the Birmingham Green Lane mosque.
The preacher, an American Muslim, Abu Usamah, is reported by C4 as having made several racist and homophobic remarks. These, Abu Usamah says, were all taken out of context and, after examining over 50 hours of footage, the (…) -
Blind At The Holy See
23 July 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
by Wayne Besen
In the wake of sex scandals involving children, the Roman Catholic Church should either change its mores or close its doors. Since 1950, the United States arm of the church has paid an astounding $2 billion to settle claims of childhood sexual abuse. Yes, that is billions with a capital "B" that could have gone towards raising orphans, housing the homeless and feeding the "foodless." Instead, the church has had to reach deep inside its pockets, because some priests can’t (…)
