Chileans who take satisfaction in Michelle Bachelet’s victory should know about
David Edger, a CIA agent who was making trouble in Chile in 1973. Edger is now on the faculty of the University of Oklahoma (OU) political science
department. Edger was brought to the campus in the summer of 2001 by David Boren, mentor and patron of George Tenet and OU president.

The namebase.org website is the product of a professional research
organization. Here is Edger’s information:

A few weeks before the 9/11 attack, Edger arroved at OU and was given a "visiting professor" appointment by Boren, a former U.S. Senator. Here’s an OU newsletter announcing Edger’s 2001 appointment while describing his experience as director of all U.S. intelligence activities in Germany. This gave him responsibility for CIA surveillance over the Hamburg Al Qaeda cell:

Articles in Oklahoma newspapers have reported that Edger is a specialist in clandestine actions. A look at the OU online directory confirms that Edger is still on the political science faculty. Go here and search his name:

Maybe the new Chilean government would appreciate having this information about Edger. I don’t know if there are any Chilean students attending OU. If so, some of them might be interested in greeting Edger with a few questions and
perhaps publicly protesting his enjoying a faculty position there.

Here is a good photo of Edger — suitable for a wanted poster:
