Election Challenge: Congress Exposes the Enemy Within- Themselves
by Open-Publishing - Friday 7 January 200521 comments
The two hour Congressional ’debate’ on the Ohio election
irregularities exposed how the US Congress is completely dysfunctional.
There were enough problems
in Ohio and other states that many Americans know that the election was
stolen, and we can prove it beyond a shadow of doubt. If Congress
actually cared about our democracy, there would have been a real
debate, with the presentation of all facts on both sides with the true
intent to discover the truth. But Congress did not debate the issue at
all, they just continued on in their typical dysfunctional manner.
This is how congress works: In the two hour ’debate’ Republicans and
Democrats alternated to give 5 minute prepared speeches. There is no
discussion of the issues, just one prepared speech after another. This
leads to republicans repeating republicans, and democrats repeating
democrats. There is no debate, no presentation of all the facts, just repub after repub repeating that ’conspiracy kooks’ are trying to
undermine our great democracy. I am not a ’conspiracy theorist’, but merely an informed American that can see thru the media matrix of lies.
There was a difference between some democratic speakers, between the
real democrats and fake democrats. The US Congress has been taken over
by corrupt and/or stupid politicians from both parties. Fake democrats
like Nancy Pelosi and even Bernie Sanders repeatedly said, ’there is no
doubt about who won the election’..... wtf!, are you blind or corrupt
Bernie? There is definitely Reasonable Doubt:
– Bush ’won’ by 118,000 votes, yet 93,000 ballots have not been counted- why?
– Tens of thousands of Americans did not vote
thanks to deliberate dirty tricks from Republican elections officials-
nobody knows how many were turned away- that is reasonable doubt.
– The votes were counted by voting machines owned by republican donors- they were connected by modem and can be hacked with the results reversed in seconds- that is reasonable doubt.
– These same companies make gas pumps and ATMs with paper receipts, yet
they deliberately did not include printers in the voting machines so we
have no paper trail. Those currently in power deliberately eliminated
the possibility of a manual recount- that is reasonable doubt.
"We have far more to fear from an unaccountable government at home than from any foreign terrorist." Rep. Ron Paul |
If Congress were for real, this ’debate’ would have been setup more
like a trial, with one side presenting their case, then the
other. Instead what we had was an endless procession of
’representatives’ repeating the same phrases the last guy said. As an
informed citizen on this issue, I can tell you that there is enough
evidence that it would take hours, even days to present it all.
Why couldn’t the democrats present the evidence in an organized manner,
even if they only had one hour, they could have presented as many facts
as possible- but they did not. Even if the repub congress would never
agree, the dems could have truly presented the case and they would have
used the F word- Fraud.
Repubs kept saying, ’we even had a recount, and Bush still won.’ - sure. We have Blackwell stalling the recount, then exposing himself, proudly claiming he helped deliver Ohio to Bush. Blackwell’s actions were clearly those of someone that has something to hide. On top of that- we have proof of Triad tampering with the recount. There is enough proof (100 page pdf) that the Democrats could have made a serious case
to expose the fraud. The Dems failed us because there are only a few
true Dems left (notably, most are black women), there are too many type
stooges like Kerry and Pelosi telling us to unite behind Bush.
If you watched the session, you know that the Republicans have
absolutely zero evidence that this election was clean. Their best
argument is that ’conspiracy nuts’ are trying to undermine Bush’s grand
victory, ’these claims are absurd’. Their proof of this is, ’look at John Kerry’, he stepped down and acknowledged Bush as the winner. Well duh- that was his whole purpose this year, to steal the primary then throw the election to his Skull and Bones brother. Kerry was making supporters buy yard signs, then he finished the campaign with $50 million, who could think that’s trying to win?
Think about it America, Bush and Kerry are literally distant cousins (CBS News). Two puppets, stooges for the ruling elite that are trying to convince you that the only way to be safe is to take your freedoms and launch (very profitable) wars. Checkpoints and random searches,
they are unconstitutional, yet both the Repubs and Dems agree that it
is the only way to make us safer. It’s a lie. The war was started on lies, and they are still lying to you today about the total failure in Iraq.
The powers that be have used ’divide and conquer’ perfectly- they have
convinced all republicans to refuse to even listen to a democrat,
"They’re just sore losers, Bush haters- Bush is the most brave and
noble leader ever, trust us." They are counting on you to believe that, to
continue to tune out all bad news like Bush does- all Fox ’News’ all the
time.
If you were to start paying attention, like actually watching Bush
unscripted as in the first debate, as opposed to tv soundbites, you
would see that George W. Bush is a complete idiot. I’m serious,
this is not said out of anger or malice, but as a statement of
undeniable fact- without a doubt, George W. Bush simply is not very
intelligent, watch the Debate
and see for yourself. This is not the best America has to offer, yet
all of the media whores continue to pretend that he is, Bush has
’resolve’, that’s why he stayed on vacation for the whole month before 9/11, even after receiving that memo titled, "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the US."

Americans, please wake up. This is not about republicans versus
democrats or Bush versus Kerry. This is about the ruling elite versus
we the people. The enemy within is this collection of mindless fools in
Congress giving Bush free reign to rob Our Children blind, allowing our
freedoms to be taken away in the name of the ’war on terror’- which is based on a lie - that Osama Bin Laden attacked us because ’we are the brightest beacon of freedom’.

Let me put it to you like this- when a crock of shit is placed before
you - can you smell it, do you see it - or do you believe Bush and the
media when they tell you it’s really a tasty meal, ’See, democrats like John Kerry agree- it’s bi-partisan, so it must be good for you.’
Think for Yourself.
The USA is literally a bankrupt nation, almost $2 trillion more in debt than when Bush took office,
$7.6 trillion total debt- we can’t even pay the interest on this massive bill, and with the $600 billion annual deficit, it will be $8.2 trillion in short order- this is not a good sign. Bush has a plan to ’save’ Social Security that will cost
$2 trillion just to transfer the system- does that make sense? If you
listen to the media, of course it’s true, ’The President’ would never
do something bad for our country.
Bush’s Social Security Plan:
Charge $2 trillion to our kid’s credit card- just to transfer SS
Take 2/3 of paycheck tax withholdings and send it straight to Wall St.
Change the formula so everyone receives ’deep benefit cuts’
You make the call- is that plan a turd or a delicious dinner?

Thank you Barbara Boxer. It would have been so depressing had no one stood up for democracy in the Senate again, especially with so much evidence of manipulation of the vote.
Now what? Will there be an investigation? What are the odds of election reform?
7 January 2005, 14:20
Good but tragic indictment of the current situation. I don’t think there would be any election reform as the current administration would not concede one inch of power or admit to any wrong doing.
The only chance of change within the next four years is down the legislative road, a civil war, or another (not necessarily violent) revolution by the 59 million+ who are opposed. Legal challenges seem the most likely.
7 January 2005, 20:18
Why couldn’t one democrat stand up for the truth- speak directly into the camera and say, "America, there is overwhelming evidence of election fraud- not just irregularities and malfunctions, but intentional fraud."
Why did the democrats keep bending over backwards to appease the republicans- nobody is saying fraud, nobody wants to reverse the election, we all acknowledge that Bush won.
For those of us that feel that there was intentional, deliberate fraud it’s clear we do not have a single representative in Congress. Or maybe they’re all afraid of being Wellstoned.

Bravo!!
Thanks for telling it like it is/was!
7 January 2005, 18:50
Right on the mark (or shall I say Marx)!!
The media is the enabler to this whole process as they do not cover the real news, they instead spent yesterday covering the 2 week old tsunami and Andrea Yates.
They did mention that there has been a challenge to the electoral certification but the results of the race are not going to change...am I dreaming or is THIS statement absurd, why should it be predetermined that the result wouldn’t change, just as it was predetermined that W. won Ohio when Fox called it for him (2004) 2 minutes after local network said people are still voting and it will be hours before we know.
The real target has to be the media, they own it all!!
7 January 2005, 18:50
First of all it was 57 million that voted for Senator Kerry. Over 60 million voted for the President. Oh I forgot those were all fraudulent. My mistake. What was the most interesting part of yesterdays sideshow was how only one Senator supported the Objection and everyone of them acknowledged that President Bush won the relection. Also, let us not forget the whopping 500 protesters that were present in Colmubus, Ohio. that is 500 out of 5.5 million voters and although I do not have the evidence to support this theory I would venture that many were from other states.
I really believe that if you cannot move on then you will fall behind. Therefore, if you really want to bury the Democratic Party keep saying the election was stolen deny what really happen. deny that Ohio minority voter participation was at an all time high. That Senator Kerry received more votes tha Al Gore did in 2000.
Forget the over 60 million people that voted for the President nationally. Forget the 176 Democratic Election Supervisors throughout each and every County in Ohio and not one NOT ONE has supportted these fraud theories.
The REPUBLICANS could use a few more seats in the SENATE in 2006.
7 January 2005, 19:11
Your argument that - only one senator objected, and the rest of the dems agreed - shows you didn’t even read the article. The author makes the case that they are all corrupt, both D and R.
There was enough evidence in November to make the story of voting irregularites and voter suppression headline news every day thru the end of the year. The media ignored it, because there was no story or because they are corporations?
Would you like some more lies with your plate of turd, sir?
7 January 2005, 19:21
No I did read the article what I did not agree with was the premise that because the other Democrats didnot agree with the objection does not make them corrupt. In fact if YOU listened to Senator Boxer’s opening statements, she acknowldged that the President won, her goal was to bring attention to improving the election system and she felt this was the right way to do it.
Hey I don’t care. I actually like the results. I do believe the country is best served when both parties are sharing the power. If you and others think by insulting and name calling others is the way to change their mind you really need to wake up. The world is not black and white but various shades of grey.
Good Luck you and the Democratic Party will need it.
7 January 2005, 19:42
Republicans will find this "success" they are enjoying short lived. Remember, Nixon got relected too.
7 January 2005, 19:54
Actually if you want to discuss history since Barry Goldwater was beaten by LBJ in 1964 the Republican Party has won 7 out of the last 10 Presidential Elections. In the three Election that were won by the Democratic Party (Carter in 1976 and Clinton in 1992 and 1996) only Preisdent Carter was able to achieve a vote total of over 50% nationally 50.7% to be exact. President Clinton in 1992 received 43.5% and between 49.5 and 50% in 1996. On the otherhand the Republican Party has achieved 50% on 5 occasions during the same period with a high of 60% with President Reagan in 1984.
Therefore, their success is not short lived. It can be argued that the Party with the short lived success was the Democratic Party with the two victories by Former President Clinton.
Hey but what are facts in a world of opinions.

Republican Dino Rossi is calling for a revote in Washington...too funny
“Our next governor should enter office without any doubt about the legitimacy of his or her office,” he said in a press release. “The people of Washington deserve to know that their governor was elected fair and square.”
http://news.asianweek.com/news/view...
7 January 2005, 20:31
Let me see in the state of Washington Mr. Rossi lost a third recount by 139 votes out of 2.9 million votes primarily after about three thousand votes were found. President Bush won by 118 THOUSAND votes out 5.5 million after a recount. Yet you are comparing the two common that arguement does not even pass the straight face test. Oh one more thing that you failed to mention the Secretary of State in Washington Mr. Reed a, REPUBLICAN, certified the result. I guess he was out of the loop during the Republican fraud Conspriracy meetings.

This is part of a great comment I read at DU
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x262817
A debate is a pretty formal endeavor. My son is taking a debate class right now, so I am extra sensitive to the format. From a formal view of the debate, the Democrats put themselves in the losing position by calling for a debate on an issue, then prefacing all their arguments with statements that seemed to apologize for the same position! At the least, they seemed to be qualifying themselves and the debate as ineffective. They did a brilliant job of outlining many of the problems with the election system, but did not follow through to the natural conclusion such an argument would merit. That conclusion, at least in argument, should have been a challenge to the slate of Electors from Ohio.
When the Republicans’ stood one after another and offered no good arguments for excusing what happened in Ohio or elsewhere, they should not have won the debate. Their arguments were laughable, disrespectful, partisan and disgraceful. What makes me furious, is that when ALL the Democrats voted against Barbara Boxer, purely from a debate standpoint, they were siding with the Republicans’ arguments over those of the Democrats. No matter how you try to frame that, by all standards of debate, they were saying in unison that the Democrats’ argument was too weak, or the Republicans’ message was stronger. That was pathetic, and it is what I can not get around or over. If we don’t hand out consequences for wrong doing, crime definitely pays!
7 January 2005, 20:56
I disagree with your position that the Democratic Senators did a good job in displaying voter fraud. The Democratic Senators, that spoke, were giving lip service to the extreme left of the party. That being said none was willing to vote in favor of the objection because it would have had devasting effect of their political futures because they knew it was just lip service. Folks JOHN KERRY has dreamed his entire life of being president if he thought he could have won he would have fought until the end. He understood that he lost and that it is time to move on and regroup. Remember everyone, including Senator Boxer acknowledged that President Bush won reelection. EVERYONE in the Senate that spoke did. In fact, Senators Schumer and Drayton, both relativly liberal senators spoke out against the objection. By making this objection and it being defeated 74-1 an important issue was turned into a side show. One more thing the decision on how many voting machines are to be used during an election in reach respective county is made by the local County governments. Check the state law for that point.
8 January 2005, 01:17
Just having come back from vacation to validate the election, Congress could only dedicate two hours to discuss election fraud...Nancy Pelosi was complaining that they had more important things to do. Now they are on vacation again until the 20th. Do these people even do their jobs? Apparently not.
8 January 2005, 18:01
I apologize for my representative, J.D. Hayworth of Arizona. His rant was so embarrassing! He was smug, dismissive, sarcastic, divisive, and he kept rambling on after the speaker told him is time was up. I also disliked Rep. Ney (Ohio) and others who said, "There’s no such thing as a perfect election," wink wink, i.e. "We stole it, you live with it, ha ha ha."
The Dems were awesome. Made me reconsider remaining a Democrat for a while longer. They better do something about the election fraud problems. They took their stand, now they gotta fight for it, not whimp out.
10 January 2005, 02:13
Kerry would not fight for the right to vote. We need a fighter. Say how about a
BOXER?

After the election of 2000, most people could smell a rat but figured " what the hell, the stock market is through the roof, the U.S. is the only superpower, how can Bush screw it up?"
After 9/11, along came the mid-terms of 2002 and most people figured "what the hell, even though Bush was the guy in charge during that colossal security failure, he talks tough. How can he not be the right choice?"
After the non-capture of Ossama and the most ill-conceived and costly invasion in world history, along comes the 2004 election and most people were saying, "what the hell, I voted against Bush but it seems like he won anyway. Oh well, what’s on Leno? "
After social security was handed over to the same ethical crowd that brought you Enron, and the draft was re-instituted, along came the election of 2008 and most people figured, "what the hell, I pushed the button on the screen for the Democrat/Libertarian/Green candidate but Jeb Bush’s name came up. Oh well, let’s go to the mess tent for chow."
What the hell is right.
10 January 2005, 04:19
Come on you guys, all you have to do is recruit as many Democrats as you know to just not vote. Think about it.....if only Republicans vote and the voter turn out is 20+ percent, the game will be all over. This is the only thing that will break up this too cozy relationship of the one party system. If only 20+ percent of the eligible voters vote, it will be the same problem that Iraq now faces....a election with the world laughing at the fake "democracy" it will not stand up to the smell test. This is the only thing left to do. And it will not make any difference in policy...the democrats and the republicans are all on the same team so it would not make any difference any way except to send a message that we voters will not be used to validate phony elections.
10 January 2005, 17:08
Kerry and co are not fools. They know that if they "won" an election, they would have to deal with the allegations/facts that Bush and Zakheim helped orchestrate the twin tower bombings.
American politics have become more murderous and devious than ancient Rome. The rest of the world is just waiting for the warmongers and sychophants of Israel and America to consume each other. The elites of both nations have become apathetic and indifferent to the suffering of the rest of the world, and in their egotistical netherworlds, they somehow figure that they are invincible, untouchable. When the economy of america slips into oblivion, what hope Israel and her plan of middle eastern dominance?
11 January 2005, 17:48
You are right!! Jebb will run in 2008. those Bushies won’t give up power! The Repubs are already posturing by sending Jebb to visit the Tsunami.
The elections will still be rigged, I and thousands of others will say "Why bother to vote when the winner is already chosen", and the others will do as you say and just say, Oh well, I guess the Repub. won again!
How much more does it take to raise people’s suspicion that this Reality Show called the Presidential Election smelled so bad this year.
W.’s approval rating was never over 49% during the campaign ( No candidate for re-election has ever won with an approval rating below 50 %), Dems had increased voter registration 4 to 1 to Repubs, More then 50% of the Country said we were heading in the wrong direction, Polls showed Kerry won all the debates and people said he was more Presidential then W., more lifelong repubs said they couldn’t vote W, Conservative newspapers endorsed Kerry, record high turnouts (which have AlWAYS favored challenger), increased number of undecideds voted ( which the majority broke for Kerry), lots of youth voters ( which favored Kerry), and exit polls up until 1 a.m. Nov. 3 that showed a Kerry win in the popular vote by 3% and electoral well over 270 votes!
Why shouldn’t we believe W. won!!! It’s obvious isn’t it??? Even the football game where the Packers beat the Redskins (If Packers have won in the past the incumbant looses the election).
