The Bush regime told lies to get support for its pre-emptive war against a country that posed no threat to our borders. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, introduced a “Resolution of Inquiry to demand the White House turn over all white papers, minutes, notes, e-mails or other communications kept by the White House Iraq Group (WHIG).”

“This group, comprised of the president and vice president’s top aides, was critical in selling the administration’s case for war,” Kucinich said. “We now know that the administration hyped intelligence and misled the American public and Congress in their effort to ‘sell’ the war. After 2,000 American troops have been killed in Iraq, it is long past time for this Congress to ask serious questions about WHIG and its role in the lead-up to the war.”

If President Clinton could be impeached for lying about an extramarital affair, President Bush should face impeachment for lying us into this unnecessary war in Iraq, which has killed 2,000 of our citizens and vast numbers of innocent Iraqis.

I entreat all people of conscience to take a stand against this awful war and the people who fomented it. Support Kucinich’s Resolution of Inquiry, and speak out against those who are ruining our country.

  • Mr. Kucinich has all the best of intentions, but the Senate rejected a similar resolution in September demanding an investigation into the Downing Street Memo’s. Don’t hold your breath on this. It seems neither Congerss nor the Senate plan to properly expose this mass corruption. Likely because many of them have money in big oil and gas and the death merchants stock.

    What this country needs is a SECOND PARTY. this one party system isn’t working any more.

      Unfortunately, for those misled by the notion that (19 "Arab") individuals caused the events of Sept. 11. the truth has already been proven time and time again. It just won’t be prosecuted.

      1. WTC was taken down by controlled demolitions - not by commercial airlines.
      2. Passenger lists show no Arab persons on either flight.
      3. Bin Laden’s family was flown out of the country during the no-fly order 2 days after 911.
      4. All the gold in the vaults (truckloads of gold bars) in the basements of WTC was removed several days prior.
      5. At lease 5 of the alleged ’hijackers’ has been located ALIVE in other countries since 911. The official government list hasn’t been updated.
      6. The Pentagon swallowed 250 tons of airline without a trace.
      7. Cell phones didn’t even work on commercial airliners until last year.
      8. Molton steel was found in the basements of both twin towers 3 weeks AFTER the buildings were felled.
      9. Jet fuel doesnt melt steel.
      10. the Anthrax was made in the US - in military labs.

      and 10. 3000 people perished in an event orchestrated, directed and covered up by the US Federal Govt, complicit with other international organizations and banking institutions.

      This child is a victim of American greed and hunger for power - not Arab or "islamic" violence.

  • Impeach Bush yourself! This is much more than just a petition.

    There’s a little known and rarely used clause of the in the rules for the House of Representatives which sets forth the various ways in which a president can be impeached. Only the House Judiciary Committee puts together the Articles of Impeachment, but before that happens, someone has to initiate the process.

    That’s where we come in. In addition to the State-by-State method, one of the ways to get impeachment going is for individual citizens like you and me to submit a memorial. ImpeachforPeace.org has created a new memorial based on one which was successful in impeaching a federal official in the past. You can find it on their website as a PDF.

    You can initiate the impeachment process yourself by downloading the memorial, filling in the relevant information in the blanks (your name, state, etc.), and sending it in.
