The division of Iraq into three states will bring much more problems compared to the current ones. One should remember the following facts:-
1- Sunnis, sheiaats, and kurds did not fight through out the long history. The invasion of Iraq, Mr Bush policies of establishing poppet governments that are based on ethnic and religious bases brought the current fighting. In addition to that the great influence of IRAN, which has always tried to export its revolution to the region, has found free (…)

15 September 2002: A SECRET blueprint for US global domination reveals that President Bush and his cabinet were planning a premeditated attack on Iraq to secure ’regime change’ even before he took power in January 2001.
The blueprint, uncovered by the Sunday Herald, for the creation of a ’global Pax Americana’ was drawn up for Dick Cheney (now vice- president), Donald Rumsfeld (defence secretary), Paul Wolfowitz (Rumsfeld’s deputy), George W Bush’s younger brother Jeb and (…) -

Each time I lecture abroad on the Middle East, there is always someone in the audience – just one – whom I call the "raver". Apologies here to all the men and women who come to my talks with bright and pertinent questions – often quite humbling ones for me as a journalist – and which show that they understand the Middle East tragedy a lot better than the journalists who report it. But the "raver" is real. He has turned up in corporeal form in Stockholm and in Oxford, in Sao (…) -
Hizbollah ’did not use civilians as cover’
27 September 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
By Mark Lavie in Jerusalem
In its strongest condemnation of Israel since last summer’s war, Human Rights Watch said yesterday that most Lebanese civilian casualties were caused by "indiscriminate Israeli air strikes".
The international human rights organisation said there was no basis to the Israeli claim that civilian casualties resulted from Hizbollah guerrillas using civilians for cover. Israel has said that it attacked civilian areas because Hizbollah set up rocket launchers in (…) -
Bush Planned to Invade Iraq regardless of UN approval.

The Iraq invasion and occupation was planned with or without UN approval.

Of course, we KNEW this in 2003. Both Blix and Scott Ritter declared there were no WMD and bush’s anxiousness to invade was personal, not based on threats.
Impeachment is still off the table. Thanks Nancy. -

Ghost Dance

Ghost Dance By David Glenn Cox
When the Teton Sioux nation surrendered in 1876-77 they were promised that they could maintain sovereignty on their land. They would be treated as a sovereign nation; they could elect their own leaders and make their own policies. But very quickly it became apparent that they were captives on their own land. They could choose only the leaders that met with Washington’s approval. They could set only policies that (…) -

Like a rubber band pulled to its very limits before snapping, tensions regarding the "War on Terror", the Israeli issue, and the seemingly inevitable military conflict with Iran charged the atmosphere with electricity on Monday afternoon when President Amadinejad spoke at Columbia University. Not since the riots of ’68, which in part fomented the ideological foundations for Neoconservativism, has a University event caused (…)
