Wars and conflicts International
The division of Iraq into three states will bring much more problems compared to the current ones. One should remember the following facts:-
1- Sunnis, sheiaats, and kurds did not fight through out the long history. The invasion of Iraq, Mr Bush policies of establishing poppet governments that are based on ethnic and religious bases brought the current fighting. In addition to that the great influence of IRAN, which has always tried to export its revolution to the region, has found free grounds to do that in southern part of Iraq. Mr Bush has encouraged this when his troops handed power in the southern provinces of Iraq to parties and militias that were established in Iran. He acted against the future wills of Iraq and USA as well. It looks as if he has believed every one who supported the invasion regardless of his future intensions.
To stop fighting one need a change in policy not a change in the Iraqi state.
2- The proposed division will only lead to more conflicts and more fighting starting from conflict about borders, to more forced migrations and takeover of land and properties. It will push those youngsters, who are holding guns in the streets of Baghdad and other cities, to do more killings and abuses.
3- The division will give the southern parts of Iraq and its oil to Iran and open new Iranian fronts on Kuwait and Saudia Arabia. It will a ready made nuclear bomb to the Iranians.
4- In the last four years, the Iran-backed militias have done major genocides on Sunnis and Christians in Southern province of Basrah. The division will give them the ground and right to do much more. Fighting has already started after the partial withdrawal of the British troops.
5- Is it legal that those who claim they are bringing democracy to the middle east, take such major step without even hear opinion of the Iraqis, the people of Iraq not the Iran-backed politians. Are we ending the miserable invasion by another catastrophic decision ?.
6- This is no more than the rule of the invadors, " Divide and conquer".
