Kucinich On US Space Weapons, Control Of the World
by Open-Publishing - Thursday 19 May 200510 comments
"The Administration is considering putting weapons in outer space, to give the United States the power to control the world. This astronomical arrogance pushes not simply aggression to new heights, but may well preclude our nation from spending money for anything other than weapons, which will cost hundreds of billions of dollars.
"The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 states that it is "the policy of the United States that activities in space should be devoted to peaceful purposes for the benefit of all mankind." Space was envisioned as a place of cooperation, of confirming human unity, a place where we could aspire to build a new platform of peace, fulfilling the prophecy of the poet Browning who wrote: "but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp, or what’s a heaven for?"
"What has happened to our country? Why are we projecting fear and paranoia to such heights? Have we so lost our way and our faith that we are prepared to transform the heavens into hell? If the kingdom and the will of God is to be done on earth as it is in heaven, what is to happen when the United States takes nuclear fire up to the gates of heaven?
"Such an offense against humanity could bring the wrath of God upon this nation."
Representative Dennis Kucinich
U.S. Congress

Yes! Weapons in space! Kucinich is a democratic moron. He should move to Europe where he will be appreciated and he will be like all the other europeons, afraid of his own shadow. He is an anti-american moron. He has swallowed the lefty swill without thinking about it. If we had wanted to control the world, a la Hitler, we would already have carved it up between China and Russia.

’Afraid of their own shadow?" Ironic that you should mock the Europeans when we’re known as the NannyLand in the UK, probably our last remaining ally ----- all the while spending all we have, and all that we don’t have on weapons to create war and more destruction. It will be alright, though, we’re going the way of the Roman Empire and others who took the same path we are — the total corruption which comes from total power will destroy ---- we’re no different because we’re "AMERICANS"...... don’t bother waking up, nothing would come of it --- better yet, since you believe so much in warfare, why don’t you get yourself a ticket to MOSUL?? There’s plenty of action over there for you ....

...and then you woke up.
The US can’t even control Iraq.
For all of you warmongers, the military isn’t meeting recruiting goals.

It goes to show you how little you know and how little the UK knows about us, even though they are an "ally". The only ally we had was Blair, and amazingly enough he was all we needed. Funny that the UK doesn’t call their own government Nanny when they have so little say as to what goes on in their own government. As for our budget regarding weapons, it’s rarely above 5% of total GDP and even that is more than how much europeans spend on weapons combined. Which goes to show you how little they spend on their own protection. What item do they spend on the most, oh yeah, welfare. And inspite of that it hasn’t made them any more secure has it? They suffer from high unemployment rates, their productivity is minimal, and give them another heat wave and thousands more still die. Muslims are taking over and pretty soon instead of being a Nanny state they will be the Great Europeon Dhimmi state. What is happening in Nigeria between Christians and Muslims will soon occur in a greater rate in Europe. If they’re so happy letting their governments take care of them, wait until Sharia Laws take over, then they really don’t have to think for themselves. In the meanwhile China and India is going to run circles around them and the US will still hold their own. As for me going to Iraq, I’d like to but I’m past my prime and they wouldn’t take me. As for you, since you like the europeons so much, go ahead and live there and put your money where your mouth is.

Don’t worry. Once we deploy weapons in space, we don’t even need to be in the country to fight the insurgents. They can just pinpoint them and blast them out from the sky. We’re not going to need as many soldiers as we do now. War will be minimum pain for us and lot of pain for our enemies. Yahoo!

we don’t need space, as it is, we can drop them from that thing called the sky
sometimes we miss though
Baghdad E.R. doctors examine a child who was fatally wounded in an aerial bombing attack.
Zahraa Ali, four years old, lies in the burn unit of a Baghdad hospital. Her family was hit by an aerial bombing attack while driving. Her parents, 24-year-old brother, and nine-year-old sister died. Zahraa eventually died. Only her three-month-old sister survived.
Not a Pretty Picture
Looking this war in the face proves difficult when the press itself won’t even put in an appearance

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS STUFF?

The above image is a scan of a piece of Trinitite. This is desert sand that was underneath the explosion of the world’s first Atomic bomb. The heat from that blast melted the sand into a green glass, not unlike the Fulgurites that result when lightning hits sandy soil.
Now, imagine an entire nation looking like the above sample, melted into green glass. It’s not a fantasy. The US spent $5 trillion dollars building a nuclear deterrent capability that can actually do it, melt an attacking nation into green glass. The USSR knew it, the world knows it, Saddam knows it.
Even if Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, and even if Iraq had the long range ICBMs to reach across the Atlantic with, Iraq would still not be a threat to the US because any attack with a weapon of mass destruction would be national suicide.
Those that insist that Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction are a threat that justifies invasion are in essence claiming that the US Government took $5 trillion of your money (over $17,000 from each of you alive today) in a gigantic swindle, because the $5 trillion nuclear deterrent isn’t a deterrent after all, that it doesn’t work, that nobody is really afraid of it, because they all know it was just a hoax to soak the American taxpayer for another several thousand dollars. Was it all a hoax, Mr. Bush? Did the American people foot a $5 trillion bill for a deterrent system that isn’t really a deterrent?
Either the deterrent works or it does not. If it doesn’t, then the American taxpayers have been defrauded on a grand scale. But if the nuclear deterrent does work, then Iraq can have all the weapons of mass destruction they want, they just won’t dare use them. Maybe they can put them in a museum or something. But they won’t dare use them against the United States because they don’t want to end up like that piece of green glass at the top of this article. There is no need to invade over the issue of weapons of mass destruction. There never was.
Of course, the issue has shifted. The UN inspectors have found no evidence of weapons of mass destruction. They found some documents ABOUT weapons of mass destruction, but documents are not a weapon of mass destruction (with the sole exception of the 1040 form). The UN inspectors found a bunch of old empty artillery warheads from 1988, but empty warheads are not a weapon of mass destruction, and tests show that these empties were never weapons. Soil samples have tested negative for chemicals or radioactivity indicating weapons development. Iraq has allowed the inspectors to pretty much go everywhere they want without hindrance, even into Saddam’s home. Imagine the KGB demanding and getting permission to peek into every closet and drawer in the White House and you will get an idea of just how much Iraq is cooperating. The CIA gave the UN inspectors a list of sites they were convinced had weapons of mass destruction. Nothing.
But Bush still wants his invasion, and since there are no weapons of mass destruction to scare the public into supporting a war of conquest, the issue is changing. Saddam may be cooperating, but he isn’t cooperating ENOUGH (as defined by the US). And horror of horrors, Saddam might actually still be ever so slightly resentful of the way he is being bullied around by the US Government. He’s only a head of state, why should HE feel insulted by the intrusions into his nation and his home, right?
So, today, Bush and his buddies are trying to spin resentment and a failure to cooperate more than Saddam already has into a reason to invade Iraq and, as the US already admits it plans to do, grab the oil wells.
This plan proves that the oil is the real goal, because if weapons of mass destruction were the real issue, then there would be no need to risk American lives invading Iraq. If Iraq were to have a weapon of mass destruction and use it against the US, the US could just stand back and turn the entire nation into green glass just like that at the top of this article. That’s what we all paid that $5 trillion for. And unless the US Government wants to admit that $5 trillion nuclear deterrent is a hoax, then we should use it as it was intended to be used, to deter an attack without having to invade a foreign attacker.

Our Constitution defines treason as the levying of war against our nation. With its policy of preemptive wars, this Administration is guilty of instigating wars against our nation. Every other nation must now seek to defend itself against our PNAC - (Project for a New American Century) professed hegemonic machinations. This Administration is guilty of treason and must be brought to heel. For the sake of global security and our nation?s survival and integrity.
Back in ?75 there were attorneys like William Kunstler who could make the case for impeachment and prosecution for treason better than I have here. We still had a Democratic Party with vestiges of the spirit and integrity that had stood up to Capitalist bosses, steeling itself with the Progressive message of solidarity and equality. The country was not held hostage to the crusading fanaticism of religious zealots and jingoists. Our writers sang ?the body electric? of the human family and did not first and foremost advocate for personal grants in the name of the identity-politics of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation. There were moments when we all came together and sang the possibilities of a glowing, new dawn.

What a stupid idiot, and someone who knows nothing about the complexity involved. Jut look at how long, and under what conditions the so-called missile defense system was created [or is being created]. What a waste of money. And concerning how often we miss, we miss a lot. So far it has been a debacle that only people who watch star trek, and know none of the math, believe.
Are weapons in space any different…no.

Hey troll, how much does Bu$hco pay you for quoting made up numbers and confirming their lies?

Star Wars is nothing more than a huge way to rip off the US taxpayers for the son and grandson of Reaganstein who are both profiting personally from this disgusting industry all the while trying to sell us on the idea that they are "Christian" I am sure they makes Jesus so proud. We all know how Jesus loved money and power and wanted to destroy and rape the planet, Bushco is just following in Jesus’s footsteps, just ask them and they will tell you so.

With the US record of friendly fire maybe we shouldn’t worry too much about weapons in space they’re more likely to hit Pluto than anything else. In Iraq they’ve proved they couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo.
