2 commentsEvery member of Congress swears an oath to uphold and defend The Constitution. They have violated that oath.
The First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law.. abridging the freedom of speech..
Congress just passed such a law: Section 602 of the new “Patriot” Act:SEC. 602. INTERFERENCE WITH NATIONAL SPECIAL SECURITY EVENTS. [It is against the law to] willfully and knowingly to enter or remain in any posted, cordoned off, or otherwise restricted area of a building... with intent to (…) -

Television pictures showed 11 bodies in the Tikrit morgue — five children, two men and four women. A freelance photographer later saw the bodies being buried in Ishaqi, the town 100 km (60 miles) north of Baghdad where the raid took place.

The latest information I have had from the followers of Bush is that he has demanded and received permission to use nuclear “bunker busters” in Iran in a preemptive strike. As a nuclear veteran (Operation Redwing, Bikini, 1956) I can affirm that this is absolute madness. The “bunker buster” is a cute sounding name for a nuclear horror. Air bursts are horrible enough, doing incredible destruction through heat, shock and (…) -

This bill is designed to implement experimental weather modification. The appointed Board of Directors established by this bill does not include any (…) -

WASHINGTON - Facing problems in its efforts to train insects or build robots that can mimic their flying abilities, the U.S. military now wants to develop "insect cyborgs" that can go where its soldiers cannot.
The Pentagon is seeking applications from researchers to help them develop technology that can be implanted into living insects to control their movement and transmit video or other sensory data back to their (…) -
Iran: Where do we go from here? By Mike Whitney

The Bush administration has run into a rock wall at the Security Council. Neither Russia nor China will agree to any resolution that condemns Iran for “noncompliance” with its treaty obligations. In fact, there is general agreement that Iran has not violated the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) so the point is moot. This eliminates any chance that punitive action will be taken against Iran or that sanctions will be applied.
So why did the Bush administration take the (…) -

1 comment03/14/06 "The Progressive" — — On the third anniversary of President Bush’s Iraq debacle, it’s important to consider why the administration so easily fooled so many people into supporting the war.
I believe there are two reasons, which go deep into our national culture.
One is an absence of historical perspective. The other is an inability to think outside the boundaries of nationalism.
If we don’t know history, then we are ready meat for carnivorous politicians and the intellectuals (…) -

Re: Failure to introduce articles of impeachment
Why is House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi opposed to the impeachment of George W. Bush? Instead, she is urging Democratic activists to focus on winning seats in the House this November. As a registered democrat and American (…)
