The following article is from Free Inquiry magazine, Volume 23, Number 2.

Stop Using Their MIND CONTROL Newspeak and Spreading their PROPAGANDA
25 November 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
I found a great blog that speaks some important facts at..
Everytime a website, news program, radio broadcast, or government speech is given very speciifc language is used and restated to mentally IMPRINT the emotional fear needed to SHOCK you into submission. It works just like the following words that we have all heard. "If you do that you will BURN in HELL..." "Crime doesn’t pay..." (thats why they are running all the world) "A new kind of war..."
...
Each of these has been heard (…) -

A News Satire
By Peter Fredson
November 25, 2005
Every day I visit GOOGLE for its excellent news service. The other day I read another of George Bush’s incessant belligerent war rumblings against Muslim countries. The Reuters news report said basically:
“Syria would start pulling back its forces in Lebanon Monday. The United States warned it would accept no half measures and wants the Syrians gone before May elections. The United States is wary of Assad’s (…) -
Axioms of the World

11 commentsOne frequent criticism of my articles for PRAVDA.Ru evolves from my propensity to reference my past articles in more recent ones. Some attribute this proclivity to vanity, laziness or some other ulterior motive.
The truth, however, is not as complicated or self-serving. I simply want to remind readers that there were some, like myself, who recognized the corruption, venality, hypocrisy and mendacity of George W. Bush and his minions long before his dictatorship’s popularity fell to what (…) -

First Light
By Chris Floyd Published, MOSCOW TIMES: November 25, 2005
Last week, America’s troubled sleep was shattered by a trumpet blast of truth sounding deep in Washington’s corridors of power, where the rule of the Lie has held sway for so long. This intrusion of reality into the bloodstained fantasyland of the Bush Regime comes late in the day for the moribund Republic — perhaps too late — but it has struck a mighty blow against the Lie’s adherents, driving them into spasms of (…) -

The Real McCain

4 commentsby Ari Berman
Over the Senate’s August recess, John McCain returned to Arizona to quash a brewing conservative insurgency in his home state. The Arizona Republican Assembly, a grassroots right-wing group, had recently censured McCain for "ignoring the opinions of his constituents expressed in numerous polls and personal pleas." The anti-immigrant Minuteman vigilantes had rallied on the Arizona-Mexico border in protest of his progressive immigration policy. Discord gripped the state GOP (…) -

WASHINGTON - A former top State Department official said Sunday that Vice President Dick Cheney provided the "philosophical guidance" and "flexibility" that led to the torture of detainees in U.S. facilities.
Retired U.S. Army Col. Larry Wilkerson, who served as former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s chief of staff, told CNN that the practice of torture may be continuing in U.S.-run facilities.

The Darwin exhibition frightening off corporate sponsors
24 November 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentBy Nicholas Wapshott in New York
An exhibition celebrating the life of Charles Darwin has failed to find a corporate sponsor because American companies are anxious not to take sides in the heated debate between scientists and fundamentalist Christians over the theory of evolution.
The entire $3 million (£1.7 million) cost of Darwin, which opened at the American Museum of Natural History in New York yesterday, is instead being borne by wealthy individuals and private charitable donations. (…)
