Uncle Tom Obama supports Afghan Genocide & Racist Zionist (RZ) Apartheid Israeli Occupation of Palestine

Obviously Obama is vastly preferable to the Bush and McCain racist religious right republicans (R4s) and, while he could have done more and better so far, he has already done some good things e.g. appointments of Professors Chu and Holdren as top scientific advisers on climate change and other matters; US presence in Occupied Iraq to start declining; aid restored to African aid programs practicing birth control; closing Guantanamo Bay within the next year; and permitting life-saving and life-transforming embryo stem cell research.

However his policies are essentially those of the world’s #1 terrorist and world’s #1 war criminal, George W. Bush in relation to the ongoing Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide (post-invasion violent and non-violent excess deaths 0.3 million, 2 million and 4-6 million; post-invasion under-5 infant deaths 0.2 million, 0.6 million and 2.1 million, respectively; and refugees totalling 7 million, respectively.

President Obama’s first week in office has already revealed him as complicit in ongoing US state terrorism and ongoing US war crimes in Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan and in US-backed Israeli state terrorism and US- backed Israeli war crimes; and as resolutely supporting Apartheid Israel against the legitimate right of the Occupied Palestinians after 41 years to be free of Occupation by racist Zionist (RZ)-run, Nazi-style Apartheid Israel.

An excellent recent piece about the Gaza Concentration Camp by outstanding Australian-UK writer John Pilger in the UK New Statesman began thus: "Every war Israel has waged since 1948 has had the same objective: expulsion of the native people and theft of more land. But why are we in the west silent on this truth? "When the truth is replaced by silence," the Soviet dissident Yevgeny Yevtushenko said, "the silence is a lie" (see “Gaza under fire”: http://www.newstatesman.com/middle-... ).

Indeed I have long repeated the mantra that Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity.

In this sense of "the silence is a lie", Obama’s outrageous one-sided partisanship for genocidal, racist Zionist-run Apartheid Israel has already revealed him to be an anti-Arab anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, and racist liar – a liar by omission who lies by not acknowledging horrendous “elephant in the corner” realities of US- and US-backed Occupation .of Muslim lands.

Obama has only been in office for 1 week and yet he is already revealing himself to be a modern-day Uncle Tom i.e. (according to Wikipedia) "a black person who is perceived by others as behaving in a subservient manner to White American authority figures" (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncle_Tom ), in this instance the US Imperialist Establishment and the Nazi-style, KKK-style, racist Zionists (RZs) having disproportionate say in the running of the USA (aka the United States of Israel).

In his first week, President Barack Obama made a speech at the State Department about the State of Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory (for a transcript of his comments see http://www.democracynow.org/2009/1/... ). Below are President Obama’s statements that I have numbered for your convenience, with a Commentary following each.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA:
1. "Let me be clear: America is committed to Israel’s security. And we will always support Israel’s right to defend itself against legitimate threats".

COMMENT. He makes no mention of Palestine’s almost zero security nor of Palestinians’ right to defend themselves against the ongoing 41 year Occupation and genocidal Apartheid Israeli violence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) (post-invasion non-violent deaths 0.3 million; post-invasion violent deaths about 10,000; post-invasion under-5 infant deaths 0.2 million; annual under-5 infant deaths 3,000; annual avoidable under-5 infant deaths 2,400; annual avoidable deaths 4,300; 85% of Christians have fled; 7 million Palestinian refugees with 4.3 million registered with the UN; in the most recent Israeli atrocity 1,400 Palestinians killed versus 13 Israelis killed over the same period, ten of them soldiers, and four by friendly fire - and all this carnage in reprisal for ZERO (0) Israeli deaths from Gaza rockets in the preceding year) (see: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/277...).

2. "For years, Hamas has launched thousands of rockets at innocent Israeli citizens. No democracy can tolerate such danger to its people, nor should the international community, and neither should the Palestinian people themselves, whose interests are only set back by acts of terror".

COMMENT. According to Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs data Gaza missile attacks - desperate, wrong and counterproductive crimes - have killed 28 Israelis since September 2000, this corresponding to an "annual homicide rate" in "deaths per million of population per year" of 0.5 versus 0.5 (rapist husbands killed by raped wives), 1.0 (violent husbands killed by battered wives), 15 (Israelis by Israelis), 56 (Americans), 100 (Americans by guns), 164 (Palestinians killed violently by Israelis), 200 (African-Americans), 473 (citizens of Detroit, Michigan, USA), 902 (Palestinian non-violent deaths through war criminal, Geneva Convention-violating Israeli-imposed deprivation) and 1,066 ( Palestinian violent deaths plus non-violent deaths from Israeli-imposed deprivation).

In its recent reprisals for ZERO (0) Israeli deaths in the preceding year, Apartheid Israel has in a 22-day assault killed more than 1,400 Palestinians, most of them civilians, a third being children, wounded 5,500 versus 13 Israelis killed over the same period, ten of them soldiers, and four by friendly fire.

The current Israeli “reprisals death ratio” is 1,400/ 0 = infinity, infinitely greater than the “reprisals death ratio” of 10 ordered by Nazi leader Adolph Hitler and carried out with the 24 March 1944 Ardeatine Caves Massacre of 335 Italian men and boys by the Nazis as reprisals for the killing of 33 Nazi Germans by Italian partisans the day before.

The “Palestinians killed by Israelis”/”Israelis killed by Israelis” death ratio for the current Israeli Gaza Atrocity is 1,400/ 9 = 156 (see “Palestinian-Israel death ratios. 3. "To be a genuine party to peace, the Quartet has made it clear that Hamas must meet clear conditions: recognize Israel’s right to exist, renounce violence, and abide by past agreements. Going forward, the outline for a durable ceasefire is clear: Hamas must end its rocket fire; Israel will complete the withdrawal of its forces from Gaza; the United States and our partners will support a credible anti-smuggling and interdiction regime, so that Hamas cannot rearm".

COMMENT. The Quartet is composed of the US, Russia, EU and UN of which the US and many EU countries have been involved in invasion, occupation and genocidal mass murder in Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan (post-invasion non-violent excess deaths 1 million and 4 million, respectively; post-invasion violent deaths 1 million and possibly 2 million, respectively; post-invasion under-5 infant deaths 0.6 million and 2.1 million, respectively; refugees totalling 6 million and 4 million, respectively – an Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide with Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention: http://www.edwebproject.org/sidesho...).

Hamas already concedes de facto diplomatic recognition to the State of Israel – but (just like all decent, anti-racists everywhere) cannot approve a race-based Apartheid Israel, no more than Nelson Mandela or the African National Congress (or all other decent, anti-racists everywhere) could approve the Apartheid South African régime. Zionist Uncle Tom Obama is repeating the racist Zionist line that Hamas approve the race-based dispossession and Bantustan imprisonment of the Indigenous Palestinian People.

Obama makes no statement about the right of the Palestinian People to freedom, independence, self-determination and “right to exist” in their actual (as opposed to invented and colonially-imposed) Homeland; the need of Apartheid Israel to renounce not just violence but egregious, genocidal violence (post-invasion excess deaths 0.3 million, 7 million Palestinian refugees illegally forbidden by Apartheid Israel to return to their Homeland); or the need of Apartheid Israel to abide by past agreements and indeed to International Law, International Humanitarian Conventions, UN General Assembly Resolutions and the 1968 UN Security Council Resolution 252 that demands Israeli surrender of illegally captured land and property.

Obama implicitly supports US-backed Apartheid Israel’s right to nuclear bombs and to one of the biggest and best-armed military in the world while demanding that the inmates of what the Catholic Church refers to as the Israeli Gaza “concentration camp” cannot be allowed to even be armed with small arms or demonstrably ineffective rockets (28 Israeli deaths from Gaza missiles in 8 years) to defend themselves against an egregiously violent, war criminal Occupier.

4. "Yesterday I spoke to President Mubarak and expressed my appreciation for the important role that Egypt played in achieving a ceasefire. And we look forward to Egypt’s continued leadership and partnership in laying a foundation for a broader peace through a commitment to end smuggling from within its borders".

COMMENT. The Gaza Concentration Camp has been blockaded for 2 years by Apartheid Israel in gross violation of Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geneva... ) which unequivocally demand that an Occupier supplies life-sustaining food and medicine to “the fullest extent of the means available to it”. Israeli war crimes in violation of the Geneva Convention have meant that 0.3 million Occupied Palestinians have died avoidably in the last 41 years and 4,300 die avoidably each year.

5. "Now, just as the terror of rocket fire aimed at innocent Israelis is intolerable, so, too, is a future without hope for the Palestinians. I was deeply concerned by the loss of Palestinian and Israeli life in recent days and by the substantial suffering and humanitarian needs in Gaza. Our hearts go out to Palestinian civilians who are in need of immediate food, clean water and basic medical care, and who’ve faced suffocating poverty for far too long".

COMMENT. Obama says that “the terror of rocket fire aimed at innocent Israelis is intolerable” yet ZERO (0) Israelis were killed by Gaza rockets in the preceding year and 28 in the preceding 8 years, the latter corresponding to an “annual homicide rate” of 0.5 homicides per million of population per year , the same as for “rapist husbands murdered by raped wives” and about 1,000 times lower than that in Detroit, Michigan (473 ). Obama’s “balanced” comments about recent loss of life are quantitatively as disproportionate as the Apartheid Israeli massacre itself in making no mention of the 1,400 Palestinians killed in the last 3 weeks by the war criminal Israelis in reprisal for ZERO (0) Israeli deaths from Gaza rockets in the preceding year and 9 Israelis killed by Gazans in the current Israeli Gaza Atrocity.

6. "Now we must extend a hand of opportunity to those who seek peace. As part of a lasting ceasefire, Gaza’s border crossings should be open to allow the flow of aid and commerce, with an appropriate monitoring regime, with the international and Palestinian Authority participating. Relief efforts must be able to reach innocent Palestinians who depend on them. The United States will fully support an international donor’s conference to seek short-term humanitarian assistance and long-term reconstruction for the Palestinian economy. This assistance will be provided to and guided by the Palestinian Authority".

COMMENT. Not a word about the illegal and war criminal Israeli Occupation – the abusive, race-based mass imprisonment By Apartheid Israel for 41 years of what is now a population of 4 million Indigenous Palestinians - 50% children and 75% women and children, illegally held without charge or trial in what have been described as “concentration camps” (by the Catholic Church: http://www.theaustralian.news.com.a... and by top US conservative Pat Buchanan: http://revolutionarypolitics.com/?p=408 ) , “open air prison” and “encircled gulag” (by Ralph Nader: http://www.countercurrents.org/nade... ), a “huge Prison” (by outstanding Jewish American scholar Professor Noam Chomsky of 63-Nobel-laureate MIT: http://www.democracynow.org/2006/7/... ) and “Bantustans” (by numerous people drawing parallels between Apartheid Israel and Apartheid South Africa, notably Jewish South African government minister and hero in the fight against Apartheid, Ronnie Kasrils: http://www.citizen.co.za/index/arti... ).

7. "Lasting peace requires more than a long ceasefire, and that’s why I will sustain an active commitment to seek two states living side by side in peace and security. Senator Mitchell will carry forward this commitment, as well as the effort to help Israel reach a broader peace with the Arab world that recognizes its rightful place in the community of nations".

COMMENT. Lasting peace minimally requires an immediate end to the Israeli Occupation back to the UN-recognized 1967 borders coupled with US (UN, EU, whoever) guarantee of “airport level security” security for both the State of Israel and the 22% left of the Palestine mandate for the 4 million presently Occupied Palestinians.

Obama could achieve this tomorrow by simple order to Apartheid Israel to "Get out"– but he won’t for the obvious reason that he is a racist (supports race-based injustices such as those of race-based Apartheid Israel ), a liar by commission and omission (as demonstrated in this analysis) and is a coward who is beholden to the Zionist Lobby which has disproportionate say in US public life.

Indeed , despite the racist Zionist (RZ) land Bush-ite and neo-Bush-ite “terror hysteria” lying, the “annual homicide rate” in the 21st century in “persons killed million per year” is 15 (Israelis by Israelis) and an almost negligible 0.5 (Israelis killed by Gaza rockets) as compared to 164 (Palestinians killed violently by Israelis), 200 (African-Americans), 473 (citizens of Detroit, Michigan, USA), 902 (Palestinian non-violent deaths through war criminal, Geneva Convention-violating Israeli-imposed deprivation) and 1,066 ( Palestinian violent deaths plus non-violent deaths from Israeli-imposed deprivation).

8. "I should add that the Arab peace initiative contains constructive elements that could help advance these efforts. Now is the time for Arab states to act on the initiative’s promise by supporting the Palestinian government under President Abbas and Prime Minister Fayyad, taking steps towards normalizing relations with Israel, and by standing up to extremism that threatens us all. Jordan’s constructive role in training Palestinian security forces and nurturing its relations with Israel provide a model for these efforts. And going forward, we must make it clear to all countries in the region that external support for terrorist organizations must stop".

COMMENT. Whether people like it or not (e.g. I live on the other side of the world , am an agnostic, Humanist scientist who personally rejects religion and am only interested in this matter as an anti-racist humanitarian and because, like the Palestinians, my family was ethnically cleansed – by the Nazis in 1943-1945; see “We are all Palestinian”: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/199... ) , Hamas was democratically elected as the Government of the Palestinian people in 2006 elections held under Occupier guns – it won a landslide victory with 76 seats as compared to 43 for the US- and Apartheid Israel-approved Fatah out of 132 seats (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas ). The rump West Bank Concentration Camp is ruled by US- and Apartheid Israel-approved Fatah (those Hamas MPs escaping Israeli arrest fled to the Gaza Concentration Camp but have been subject to horrendous Israeli attempts to kill them).

Obama’s assertion of “Prime Minister Fayyad” is an outright lie of commission – he was installed after the illegal, US- and EU-backed Israeli dismantling of the democratically elected and Hamas dominated OPT Concentration Camp legislature (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas ) .

Obama implies that Hamas, the democratically elected majority representatives of the OPT Concentration Camp, are “terrorists” and part of “extremism that threatens us all”. Yet his racist, pro-Zionist, pro-Apartheid Israel “terror hysteria” mantra is belied by the facts.
Terrorism – whether Muslim-origin or other non-state terrorism or US and Israeli state terrorism - is repugnant and evil. After 1 week of the Obama Presidency it is not too soon to conclude that this black-hearted, racist, war criminal, anti-democratic liar is unlikely to address the world’s problems with honesty, responsibility, equity or justice. “Yes we can” means “yes we can continue the Palestinian Genocide, Iraqi Genocide and Afghan Genocide”.

President Obama is revealed as an Uncle Tom in the White House, an Uncle Tom Obama beholden to the traitorous racist Zionists (RZs) who dominate the USA (aka United States of Israel) just as surely today as the racist KKK and like racists dominated American life up to the 1970s.

What can decent people do? Peace is the only way but Silence kills and Silence is Complicity.
