World food price crisis - US, UK, EU, Oz Biofuel- & CO2-driven Food Genocide

A global food price crisis, a global food crisis, now threatens billions of people in the Developng World with famine and starvation.

This catastrophe is being driven by the greed of Western countries for the profits from biofuel and carbon dioxide (CO2) pollution .

The resource-greedy, racist and genocidal UK, EU, Australia (Oz) and US are threatening much of the world with Climate Genocide and with Food Genocide.

In British-ruled India during the Second World War about 6-7 million people perished in Bengal and the neighboring provinces of Assam, Bihar and Orissa when the price of rice doubled and then finally quadrupled (see “The Forgotten Holocaust – the 1943-1944 Bengal Famine”:

Food was actually available in India but was regionally restricted by an evil British divide-and-rule policy giving provinces food control autonomy (see the January 2008 BBC broadcast involving me as well as Economics Nobel Prize winner Professor Amartya Sen (Harvard), Dr Sanjoy Bhattacharya (Wellcome Institute, University College London and other scholars, “Bengal Famine” : http://www.open2.net/thingsweforgot... ).

During the WW2 Bengal Famine period (1943-1945) Argentina burned 2 million tons of wheat to run its railway system, there being a shortage of coal (see page 157, “Jane Austen and the Black Hole of British History, Colonial rapacity, holocaust denial and the crisis in biological sustainability” – available in some major libraries and revised second edition available later this year: http://janeaustenand.blogspot.com/).

NOW IN 2008 we are seeing the commencement of a horrendous re-run of the WW2 Bengal Famine but possibly on a ONE HUNDRED (100) fold greater scale - and Westerners are using FOOD to drive their vehicles while 4 billion fellow human beings go hungry and indeed are threatened with Famine and starvation (see “Genocidal UK, EU, US biofuel perversion threatens billions”: http://www.countercurrents.org/poly... ) .

According to the UK Chief Scientific Adviser Professor John Beddington CMG FRS, BIOFUELS are having a major impact on the escalating price of food that threatens "billions" (see: http://www.countercurrents.org/poly... ) .

This is compounded by the mounting negative effects on agricultural productivity from global warming that according to top UK climate scientist Professor James Lovelock FRS will kill over 6 billion people this century if greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution is not properly addressed (see: http://www.businessandmedia.org/pri... ).

The New York Times has recently reported that “rising prices and a growing fear of scarcity have prompted some of the world’s largest rice producers to announce drastic limits on the amount of rice they export. The price of rice, a staple in the diets of nearly half the world’s population, has almost doubled on international markets in the last three months. There have been food riots over food prices recently in Guinea, Mauritania, Mexico, Morocco, Senegal, Uzbekistan and Yemen. Rice export bans by rice-exporting nations (Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Egypt and INDIA) have raised world rice prices even more (see: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/29/b... ) .

These food price rises are fuelled by the huge US and indeed Western (UK, EU) biofuel diversion PLUS Greenhouse Gas (GHG) pollution-driven climate change (with the US and Australia being among the world’s #1 climate criminals in terms of remorseless per capita CO2 and GHG pollution) impacting on drought e.g. in Australia and Canada), weather (e.g. too much rain in the US), hedging investor speculation and diversion of food for livestock production for “rich” people who can afford it.

In commenting recently on the World War 2 Bengal Famine in which the British deliberately and remorselessly murdered 6-7 million Indians in the period 1943-1945, Indian Economics Nobel Laureate Professor Amartya Sen (Harvard university) stated (January 2008) : “I think the fact that famines happen when they’re so extraordinarily easy to prevent – nothing in the world is easier to prevent – affects me. Being a Bengali I can’t say that it adds especially to that because this seems to me to be a basic human sympathy at seeing suffering all across the world which are completely needless.” (see “Bengal Famine”: http://www.open2.net/thingsweforgot... ).

The racist, genocidal US, UK, Australia (Oz) and EU are not content with their involvement in horrendous genocidal wars of occupation in Asia – post-1950 excess deaths in US Asian Wars total 24 million and post-invasion excess deaths in the Occupied Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Territories now total 0.3 million, 1.7-2.2 million and 3.3-6.6 million, respectively (see US-Israeli state terrorism. Peace is the only way but Silence Kills and Silence is Complicity.

Decent people must act URGENTLY - if only for their OWN PROTECTION - in response to this global food price crisis by RECOGNIZING that the same Enemy the People of the World have TODAY is that which they have had since the start of the English global colonialism and horrendous, resource-driven genocide in the 17th century – the rapacious, racist, mass murdering Anglo Establishment.

Decent people are obliged to ACT to defend their Loved Ones and their Fellow Man in this Global Food Price Crisis by (a) INFORMING everyone they can about this mounting atrocity and (b) URGING Sanctions and Boycotts against AVOIDABLE purchases of goods and services from the people, corporations and countries (notably the US, UK, Australia and the EU) complicit in this mounting Global Food Genocide being imposed on the non-European World by the rapacious and racist West.

I have done my bit by making a formal complaint to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over Australian involvement in Indigenous Aboriginal Genocide (about 0.1 million Indigenous excess deaths over the last 12 years out of an Indigenous population of 0.5 million), Iraqi Genocide (about 2 million post-invasion violent and non-violent excess deaths), Afghan Genocide (about 3-6 million post-invasion excess deaths) and Climate Genocide (over 6 billion will perish this century; 16 million die avoidably every year and this is increasingly climate-impacted; Australia is the Developed World’s #1 annual per capita fossil fuel-derived CO2 polluter) see: http://climateemergency.blogspot.co... ) .
