Only in America
The coming years, like those of the present and the past, will see the continued spewing of fictionalized propaganda designed to manipulate the fears, hatreds, xenophobia and nationalistic tendencies of the population. The level of control over the masses and power over the nation in the years after 9/11 by corporatists intent on hijacking the country became, to them, a rousing success, thanks to the intense levels of fear and hatred engendered by the horrific events of (…)

In sharp contrast to the growing consensus of Jerusalem’s security and political establishment, President Bush argued this week that Israel’s safety depends on democratization of the Arab world.
"If you’re a supporter of Israel, I would strongly urge you to help other countries become democracies," President Bush declared Monday, in a major address defending American policy in Iraq (…) -

Censored document reveals increased transit facilities for the USA to use EU airports to move people
18 December 2005EU-USA: Rendition and removing refugees raise the same issue: Censored document reveals increased transit facilities for the USA to use EU airports to move people around the world
There has been an informal agreement between the EU and the USA that flights to and from the USA can stop-over in transit at EU airports since around 1998 (see EU docs no: 13554/97 and 6541/1/98). The USA requested these "facilities" into order to send people back to Africa, the Middle East and Asia. No figures (…) -
EU concealed deal with US to allow ’rendition’ flights
18 December 2005By Justin Stares in Brussels and Philip Sherwell in Washington (Filed: 11/12/2005)
The European Union secretly allowed the United States to use transit facilities on European soil to transport "criminals" in 2003, according to a previously unpublished document. The revelation contradicts repeated EU denials that it knew of "rendition" flights by the CIA.
The EU agreed to give America access to facilities - presumably airports - in confidential talks in Athens during which the war on (…) -
Domestic Spying: NSA has Backdoor Key to Microsoft Windows
18 December 2005Sept 3, 1999
A careless mistake by Microsoft programmers has shown that special access codes for use by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) have been secretly built into all versions of the Windows operating system.
Computer-security specialists have been aware for two years that unusual features are contained inside a standard Windows driver used for security and encryption functions. The driver, called ADVAPI.DLL, enables and controls a range of security functions including the (…) -

18 December 2005by Bob Nichols Project Censored Award Winner Correspondent, San Francisco Bay View newspaper
(Berkeley, California) - December 18, 2005 - Well, what do you know about that?
Bush’s radio speech Saturday, December 17, 2005, of course. It will be proclaimed as the same thing of one of the moves Hitler made in Germany to strengthen corporatist Nazi Germany. Yes, it is that big of a deal.
We [Leftists] have all said, time and time again, that "someone" has to tell the people, or we will be (…) -
Bush spies on citizens, now will you impeach him????
18 December 2005What more does anyone need? You do not negotiate with the devil. If the U.S. won’t act, maybe the world court will indict this rogue administration for crimes against humanity, war crimes, and violation of human rights and the Geneva Convention. How low can this country go? Feingold, time for full-court press. johnnybgood

UNICEF latest - 0.5 million infant deaths annually in US-occupied Iraq & Afghanistan
18 December 2005As we approach Christmas Day, thoughts turn to mothers and infants and the joy, hope and magic of new human life. However we cannot ignore the reality in a First World-dominated world of about 55,000 avoidable deaths and about 35,000 under-5 year old infant deaths that will occur on this Christmas Day due to deprivation- and malnourishment-related causes.
More specifically, we should consider the mothers and infants of war-wracked countries and in particular the countries currently (…)
