At the outset of Bush’s second term, Vice President Dick Cheney dropped a bombshell. He hinted, in no uncertain terms, that Iran was "right at the top of the list" of the rogue enemies of America, and that Israel would, so to speak, "be doing the bombing for us", without US military involvement and without us putting pressure on them "to do it":
"One of the concerns people have is that Israel might do it without being asked... Given the fact that Iran has a stated policy that (…)

George Bush Is The Law
17 December 2005George Bush Is the Law
By Peter Fredson
December 17, 2005
For several years when I looked at the daily news I was shocked by the arrogance and egomaniacal activity of George W. Bush. Almost daily he would commit some outrage against American values, democracy, freedom, civil rights, or Constitutional protections.
All this is done under the guise of protecting Americans from Terrorists. All this is done under constant references to 9/11 which supposedly give GWB some (…) -
Veterans Affairs loses $1.5 Billion, More Cuts in Care for Soldiers
16 December 2005At $19.8 billion, the VA healthcare budget is just 2.6 per cent larger than last fiscal year. This figure is immediately turned into a negative. Inflation in the healthcare sector supplying goods and services to the VA has averaged 5.6 per cent per year for the last five years. The negative becomes larger when we factor in a 3.1 per cent pay raise for VA employees.

Re-enlisted National Guard Soldier never received $15,000 bonus as promissed
16 December 2005December 13, 2005 By Kelly Kennedy, Army Times staff writer [Excerpts]
After re-enlisting during his second tour in Iraq but not receiving a promised $15,000 re-up bonus, Sgt. 1st Class Carl Latson says he won’t re-enlist ever again.
In January, the Spanaway, Wash., soldier signed a six-year contract that was supposed to get him a $15,000 bonus - tax-free, since he signed up in the war zone. But when his 13th year of service ended in March, the check never made it to the bank.

Iraqi Election Confusion
16 December 2005I don’t understand. I’m confused. The US is occupying Iraq, but they let the Iraqis vote in the election. I thought the Americans were there to kill Iraqis, not let them vote.
I thought the US was in Iraq to steal all the oil. But if the Iraqis elect their own sovereign government, doesn’t that mean they will control Iraqi oil and not the US?
I though the war in Iraq was a war against Islam. But it appears that all the candidates and political parties are Muslim, not Christian or Jewish. (…) -
BUSH PRODIGAL SON
16 December 2005BUSH CONFESSIONS ABSOLVE HIM
By Peter Fredson
December 16, 2005
For several days I have purposely dialed into Bush Fundamentalists blogs. I wanted to check how his recent speeches went over with them. It seems that a few had become disappointed with his poor performance and unsatisfactory explanations of the war he started in Iraq. But after his speeches a few decided that confession was really good for the soul.
In fact, we might regard the U.S. as a large confessional, with GWB as (…) -
Is Homeland Security for the USA or is it for the "HOMELAND" in the middle east.
16 December 2005In fact if you take the actual phrase "homeland" it would imply that who ever decided on this phrase did so to indicate in a subtle but direct way that this department was to serve directly under the authority of the executive with out regard to our congress or other national intelligence agencies in its scope of authority or ablities to act. In fact if you view the word "homeland" as just that a person using this phrase would use it to indicate a place other than the USA. Because the USA (…)

Green Party’s Kevin Zeese Has New Approach
16 December 2005Baltimore, MD - On a brutal night, Dec. 14, 2005, where the temperature hovered around the ultra-freezing 15 degree mark, the Green Party’s candidate for the U.S. Senate in Maryland, Kevin Zeese, was out on the campaign trail delivering his “for the people” message. He spoke at the “All People’s Congress” hall, which is located about a half mile from the now-razed Memorial Stadium, where the sports notables of yesteryear, like John Unitas, Lenny Moore, Brooks and Frank Robinson, once played. CIA War Crimes
15 December 2005CIA has documented every use of its exclusive ’enhanced interrogation techniques’
Nothing in the [Geneva] Conventions [on the treatment of prisoners of war] precludes directed interrogations. They do, however, prohibit torture and humiliation of detainees, whether or not they are deemed P.O.W.’s. These are standards that are never obsolete-they cut to the heart of how moral people must treat other human beings. John McCain , in Torture: A Human Rights Perspective, edited by Kenneth Roth (…) -
Powerful Government Accountability Office report confirms key 2004 stolen election findings
15 December 2005As a legal noose appears to be tightening around the Bush/Cheney/Rove inner circle, a shocking government report shows the floor under the legitimacy of their alleged election to the White House is crumbling.
The latest critical confirmation of key indicators that the election of 2004 was stolen comes in an extremely powerful, penetrating report from the Government Accountability Office that has gotten virtually no mainstream media coverage. Click here for GAO Report.
