I’m guessing that if we don’t invade Iran, create laws that further restrict civil liberties, and/or establish more secret interrogation facilities where we smear doo-doo on people in a humane way, the terrorists will strike again.
After all, they hate us because of our freedom, so if we give in to their demands they might stop terrorizing us.

Flashback: Buying Your Brain With Your Money For War
21 July 2005Bush Administration Launches Unprecedented $200 Million Propaganda Campaign To Win You Over On Iraq War (using your money to do it!)
George W. Bush and his staff can get any and all media time they want simply by calling up a journalist and saying, "Hey, want an interview?" But the "Bullypulpit" has limitations, all the more so given the FACT that the case Bush and Blair have made is flimsy, at best.
So, what’s a "good" president to do? Slippery Karl Rove and other notorious spin master (…) -
Former Intelligence Officers De-Spin Rightwing Assault on Valerie Wilson
21 July 2005One of the pieces of disinformation being peddled by the Save-Rove gang (see the item below) is that Valerie Wilson wasn’t really undercover. So the leak? No harm done and no crime committed (since the relevant law says a leak only counts as a crime if the exposed officer was working under cover). But how do they know that Joseph Wilson’s wife wasn’t a clandestine officer in a serious manner? Well, they don’t. There’s nothing on the public record that fully explains her duties at the CIA. (…)

The Wayward Media
21 July 2005By Ernest Partridge, Co-Editor
Here are three mini-essays tied together with a common theme: the media. “Access” - To what?
Its no secret: the former watchdogs of the American media have been transformed into Bush’s lapdogs. Whenever a potential White House or GOP scandal rears its ugly head, you can count on the news media to be otherwise engaged. If you’ve paid any attention to the Tom Delay outrages, Gannon/Guckert, the Downing Street Memos, the civilian casualties in Iraq, The World (…) -
American Terror and the Coming Attack on Iran
21 July 2005More than two years ago, we wrote here of a secret Pentagon plan to foment terrorism by sending covert agents to infiltrate terrorist groups and goad them into action — in other words, committing acts of murder and destruction. The purpose was two-fold: first, to bring the terrorist groups into the open, where they could be counterattacked; and second, to justify U.S. military attacks on the countries where the terrorists were operating — attacks which, in the Pentagon’s words, would put (…)

Orwellian House Votes: Call for End to War = Emboldening Terrorists
21 July 2005WASHINGTON - Calls for an early withdrawal from Iraq are a mistake that will only embolden terrorists, the House resolved Wednesday. The resolution drew opposition from Democrats, who said it implied that questioning President Bush’s Iraq policies is unpatriotic.
The measure, approved 291-137, says the United States should leave Iraq only when national security and foreign policy goals related to a free and stable Iraq have been achieved.
"Calls for an early withdrawal embolden the (…) -
