Since even British officials are now backing off from the theory that the London bombs were the work of men who intended to be suicide bombers, we are left with trying to determine what the four of them thought they were doing.
The authorities would like us to believe (or here) that their Islamic terrorist handler misled them into believing that the timers in the bags was set so that they could get away before the bombs went off. That still doesn’t explain why they seemed so cavalier about (…)

What the Hell is Congress doing? It’s time to Sweep the House
18 July 2005What the Hell is Congress doing? Government lying and corruption has been exposed like never before and Congress is still naming Post Offices! After the ground-breaking Downing Street Memo Hearing last month- Bush and Cheney should be under full investigation if not behind bars by now.
Most DC Democrats won’t even talk about the memo...
... and those that do only go so far as to ask for an inquiry. The evidence is already public knowledge- we don’t need no stinkin’ inquiry, we need (…) -
Another Casualty in Rumsfeld’s Information-war
18 July 2005Another chapter was added to Donald Rumsfeld’s booklet of "Information warfare" yesterday when blogger Khalid Jarrar was picked up by Iraqi Secret Service (Mukhabarat) and taken to an undisclosed location. Jarrar has not been formally charged with a crime, but he is author of a popular blog (Tell me a secret) that provides valuable information to people outside of Iraq who are curious to know the real details of the ongoing crisis.
In Iraq today the truth itself is in the crosshairs. Any (…) -

July 10, 2005 By Marcia Nelesen, Gazette Staff,Janesville, WI
MILTON-Ryan Nofsinger figures he held up his end of the bargain.
But Uncle Sam didn’t.
The 22-year-old Milton resident served four years in the Army, including 14 months in Iraq.
His discharge date was July 27. The paperwork was done. His family was counting the days on a calendar.
And then Ryan got (…) -
West turns blind eye as police put Saddam’s torturers back to work
18 July 2005"It’s saddam’s fault for the torture, he trained them...see!" - Bush apologist IRAQI security forces, set up by American and British troops, torture detainees by pulling out their fingernails, burning them with hot irons or giving them electric shocks, Iraqi officials say. Cases have also been recorded of bound prisoners being beaten to death by police.
In their haste to put police on the streets to counter the brutal insurgency, Iraqi and US authorities have enlisted men trained under (…) -
Mathias Broeckers and the Gladio al-Qaeda Op
18 July 2005Mathias Broeckers’ blog (badly translated from the German by Google) reveals an interesting bit of information: the so-called London suicide bombers had purchased round-trip tickets, according to the British newspaper the Mirror. “The London bombers may have been duped into killing themselves so their secrets stayed hidden,” writes Jeff Edwards for the Mirror. In response to this revelation, British police are pushing the line that the “al-Qaeda handlers” of the bombers duped the unwitting (…)

Everything You Need to Know About Michael Ledeen & America’s future
18 July 2005Would you be surprised to find that a man who was deeply involved in the Iran-Contra scandal during the Reagan Administration, a man who is the darling of the Bush White House and is an adviser to Karl Rove, a man who loves Machiavelli and studies him, a neo-conservative who has close ties to one of America’s leading "Christian" Dominionists - Pat Robertson, and a man who called Pearl Harbor "lucky" and a providentially inspired event-may be the man who is behind the forging of the Niger (…)

The Intelligence Challenge: Can We Trust Our President?
18 July 2005We trained and worked at the CIA with Valerie Plame. We presented the following statement at a hearing on Capitol Hill in October 2003. In light of the latest White House sanctioned assault on Valerie Plame and her character, our testimony remains relevant and accurate. All of us were undercover. Brent Cavan and Larry Johnson worked as analysts in the Directorate of Intelligence. Jim Marcinkowski and Jane Doe were case officers and served overseas. Jane Doe’s real name is not being (…)

If Rove were a Democrat, he’d be shot
18 July 2005I’m certainly happy that George W. Bush and Karl Rove are not Democrats. If they were, just imagine the mess this country would be in right now, even worse than the mess it is in.
First, there would be cries of "treason" directed at Mr. Rove from the Republican ranks. Some of the more overheated members of Congress would demand that he be taken immediately out back of the Capitol and shot by a firing squad.
After all, he revealed the identity of a covert CIA agent, did he not?
As for (…)
