In the months before the 2004 presidential election, a firm called Sproul & Associates launched voter registration drives in at least eight states, most of them swing states. The group—run by Nathan Sproul, former head of the Arizona Christian Coalition and the Arizona Republican Party—had been hired by the Republican National Committee.

Now who’s ridiculous?
On October 1, 2003, during the "ongoing investigation" of the Valerie Plame leak scandal, White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said it was a "ridiculous suggestion" that Rove was "involved in leaking classified information." The news out of Iraq was more of the same this week, and the signs from Fort Monmouth, N.J., to Sydney, Australia, from the Pentagon to Rome, were that the world’s people, including those in the U.S. armed forces, are fed up with the occupation.

As a follow-up on yesterday’s “Blood On The Tracks — London Bombings”, you might remember that the UK Independent put forth 5 theories as to who might be responsible for the Thursday, July 7th bombings of three underground trains, and one bus in London. Today it is all but confirmed that the bombings were the work of four suicide bombers.
