Changing From Republican To Radical Michael Harris - Ottawa Sun April 01, 2005 Even the most fact-averse, red-white-and-blue groupie of George Bush has to be wondering; what the heck’s going on here?
A few weeks back, I had Pat Buchanan on my radio show. Pat, who has some strange toys of his own in the political attic, declared that the president was a radical. Not a conservative, not a Republican, a radical.
Canuckistan Pat must have choked on his Cheerios when the president summoned (…)

Where Are the Great Statesmen
5 April 2005WASHINGTON — The International Criminal Court has been ratified by 100 nations, but the United States is conspicuously absent from the roster of supporters of the tribunal which was created to prosecute individuals who commit genocide or crimes of war.
The court, which came into existence in 2002, was created by a treaty negotiated by 120 nations at a conference sponsored by the United Nations in Rome in 1998. The tribunal would step in to prosecute alleged war crimes only if national (…) -
Pablo Paredes And The Culture Of Life
5 April 2005Pablo Paredes is a soft-spoken, humble, gentle young man who has a very calm and intelligent demeanor. Pablo is also one of the most courageous young men I have ever met.
Last year, Pablo, a Navy Petty Officer, refused to board his ship which was bound for the Persian Gulf and transporting a group of Marines to fight in Iraq. He said at the time, I dont want to be part of a ship thats taking 3000 Marines over there knowing a hundred or more of them wont come back. He stood on the dock (…) -
Berlusconi ’Massacred’ in Regional Elections
5 April 2005ROME (Reuters) - Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi suffered a crushing defeat at Italian regional elections, official results showed on Monday, a huge boost for center-left leader Romano Prodi’s hopes of unseating him next year.
In what one of his defeated regional governors described as a "massacre," Berlusconi’s center-right coalition appeared to have lost 11 of the 13 regions at stake, holding on to just two — Lombardy and Veneto — both in its stronghold in the north.
Prodi, who had (…) -
Why we’ll never see the second round of Abu Ghraib photos
5 April 2005by Matt Welch
The images, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told Congress, depict "acts that can only be described as blatantly sadistic, cruel, and inhuman." After Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) viewed some of them in a classified briefing, he testified that his "stomach gave out." NBC News reported that they show "American soldiers beating one prisoner almost to death, apparently raping a female prisoner, acting inappropriately with a dead body, and taping Iraqi guards raping young boys." Taser Nation: A shock to the system
5 April 2005A shock to the system The increased use of Tasers by police spurs questions weighing a purported safety benefit against alleged overuse, including, against children and the elderly, and debate regarding its role in several deaths
TOLEDO, Ohio — On Jan. 31, Jeffrey Turner, 41, was spotted loitering on the grounds of the art museum here. When Toledo police approached him, he resisted a search. He was taller than 6 feet and more than 200 pounds, so they subdued him with five 50,000-volt (…) -

Kerry & Clinton must stop their support of Bush’s War on (some) Terrorism
3 April 2005Continued support for this war of domination and greed goes beyond politics into a world of moral relativism where politicians who call themselves leaders and men/women of faith destroy and kill in the name of democracy and freedom.
Kerry & the Clintons (Bill and Hillary) should be leading the way in exposing the lies and treason of the Bush administration instead of supporting what the whole world knows is an unjust, unprovoked and illegal attack and occupation of Iraq. They should (…) -
Science proves that vote fraud is real!
3 April 2005Vote fraud confirmed: US Count Votes has come out with a remarkable paper authored by a committee of twelve, most of them highly-qualified mathematicians and statisticians from major universities. This study highlights the serious ramifications of the exit poll discrepancy while demolishing the "chatty Dem" theory (more properly known as the "reluctant responder" theory), which remains the official explanation for that incongruity.
The only possibility left is vote alteration.
Alas, this (…) -
TRUTH LEFT OUT: Data Indicates a Massive 2004 Exit Poll Whitewash
3 April 2005Back in January, 2005, I emailed Dr. Steven Freeman about the Mitofsky anaylsis of the 2004 Presidential election exit poll. In that email, I made an observation about a particular detail in the Mitofsky analysis that had not been noticed by any researcher or critic of the report at that time. You may see the original observation I made here.
The Mitofsky hypothesis proposes that "within precinct error" (WPE) is the reason for the exit poll discrepancy that we’ve all heard about. In his (…)
