Kerry & Clinton must stop their support of Bush’s War on (some) Terrorism
by Open-Publishing - Sunday 3 April 20056 comments
Continued support for this war of domination and greed goes beyond politics into a world of moral relativism where politicians who call themselves leaders and men/women of faith destroy and kill in the name of democracy and freedom.
Kerry & the Clintons (Bill and Hillary) should be leading the way in exposing the lies and treason of the Bush administration instead of supporting what the whole world knows is an unjust, unprovoked and illegal attack and occupation of Iraq. They should join with other leaders around the world to denounce this war and work towards a resolution that will bring American troops home, stop the Friends of Bush war profiteering and begin the immediate rebuilding of Iraq and restitution for the Iraqi people.
This is not to say that there shouldn’t be a great effort to stop terrorism and those who finance it...like Bush’s friends and business associates in Saudi Arabia. But first we need to repudiate the Bush Doctrine of Aggressive War and set the record straight about Iraq having NOTHING to do with the war on terrorism.
Kerry, Senator Clinton and every other Democrat in leadership positions MUST tell the American people the whole truth: that Bush and his Neocon/PNAC cronies planned to attack Iraq BEFORE they took office and used the death of 3000 on 9-11 as an means to complete their plans.
Democrats can no longer tolerate their own leadership condoning these deadly lies and deceptions. They must come forward to tell the truth RIGHT NOW or risk being labeled as complicit in the treason, obstruction of justice and war crimes of this administration.
America...and Democrats in particular as the opposition party...must stop living this lie that brings unnecessary destruction and death.
Have you noticed that the American Corporate Media backs off Dem politicians when they give signals that they’re willing to ’compromise’ with the Bush regime and stray from Dem party principles?
Witness politicians like Lieberman and the Clintons..that have seemingly agreed to support Bush’s WARs and not actively oppose many of his ’initiatives’ in exchange for better treatment from Friends of Bush. Lieberman has been a Republican in Democratic clothing for some time now...but Hillary is just now catching up just in time for 2008.
It’s disgusting the way so many are willing to overlook the fact that the Democratic leadership is participating in deceiving the American people.
We’ve become as bad as the Bush Republicans when we refuse to do the right thing because it may hurt our chances for ’winning’ or piss off the corporate sponsors of this so-called war on terrorism.
Kerry and the Clintons know that Bush has lied this nation into an illegal war. Given this knowledge and their continued support for his aggression...they have become complicit in the deception.
Shouldn’t we care about the difference between right and wrong, moral and immoral, honesty and dishonesty? What separates us from the Bush junta if we refuse to take a stand against what we KNOW are lies that are causing the death of thousands?
Screw ’politics’. We either do the right thing and demand an exit plan and restitution for the Iraqi people or stop pretending that we’re in any way morally superior to Bush and his gang of fascist thugs.
And...we need to admit the fact that it’s the DLC and their allies that are in the forefront in keeping this war going beyond all reason and sanity.
There is only one option at this point. Honesty. If we can’t do that then we’re no better than those who started this phony war on terrorism for power and profit.
Part of that honesty is calling ’leaders’ like Kerry and Clinton on their joining Bush in deceiving the American people about the need to kill people in order to save them.
The politics of ’winning by any means necessary’ has brought us to where we are today. That we have allowed the other side to TAKE so much power without a fight puts us in a position of victims.
And yes...I’m saying that the answer IS simplistic. Instead of compromising, conceding and triangulating...our party can change everything if they stop playing politics and simply tell the truth. But the question remains: can they do this now that they’ve already taken the job of shining Bush’s boots and given credibility to his lies?
This is NOT about political gain or boosting the careers of Democratic politicians. It’s about stopping the insanity. And it is indeed insane to put Americans and Iraqis in harm’s way for the ’benefit’ of a handful of politicians.
We may not be able to stop Bush...but we can certainly put pressure on DEMOCRATS to stop supporting his wars and enabling him to do more harm.
Kerry is dealing in doublespeak and it comes out sounding like mush. How can someone support a war they KNOW is based on lie? How can they continue to support throwing American and Iraqi lives away because politicians like Kerry don’t want to sound ’radical’ or ’anti-war’?
Kerry, Clinton and others are trying to have it both ways. Sound just ’anti-war’ enough to make people believe they have a conscience while continuing to look the other way as war profiteers make billions off the blood of American soldiers and Iraqi innocents.

Another clueless democrat howling in the wind over the betrayal of his/her party. Your party is not the opposition party. There is no opposition party in the united states. For that matter, there is no politics in the united states, just the semblance of politics orchestrated by the media.
The writer of this article denounces the complicity of the democratic party elites with the Bush junta’s neocon-inspired invasion of Iraq, but wouldn’t mind, apparently, an invasion of Saudi Arabia, the "real" sponsors of terror in the Middle East. Democratic leadership complicity for that kind of adventure, one assumes, would be looked upon more favorably by the writer.
In the comedy routine that is American politics, democrats play the part of the straight man, while the republicans get to deliver all of the punchlines. And, the laugh is on its hapless and distracted citizens, while much of the rest of the world doesn’t get the joke.

As it is for people in the so called western hemisphere: get out and found a new party. The existent parties can not be trusted anymoore. Leadership should be the leadship of the people. Get democracy back!

Get a clue, the Democrats are just Republican-lites. There is no difference, when Bush needed 3 more votes for drilling in Alaska, three Democrats stepped up to the plate, and every other thing Bush wants, the right number of Democrats step up and do their duty, these people have everyone bamboozled into thinking they are not all playing on the same team. Try to see beyond the smoke and the mirrors, magic tricks are entertaining but they are not real.

ABCD=anybody but clinton or democrats
Both these $hitheels were swinging their elephant trunks for Iran, you think they’ll go back on Iraq? Why hillary just made the most idiotic statement I have ever heard. Something about korea.
"we’ve been in korea for 50 years, it will take that kind of committment for Iraq"
I guess she forgot about vietnam, perhaps we should of stayed, then maybe we would of been too busy to murder people in Iraq. most of congress is corrupt, they are all hiding each other’s lies, so they will ride the flames all the way down or prop up this so called democracy we have that is ruled by a so called american royalty, ie: inbred hillbillies
The sooner americans can shed their mafia ties and gang signs to whatever party goon squad they belong to, the sooner we’ll be able to clean up the neighborhood. If the neighborhood is afraid of the gangs, then they will rule the streets. It’s that simple.

Both Democrats and Republicans rely on the same industries to fund their political campaignes. Both democrats and Republicans are in service of their ’owners’. That’s what the American system has become, the best politics money can buy.
