TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has set up a statewide task force to investigate voter fraud complaints, saying problems are popping up in so many places it doesn’t make sense to investigate them separately.

MIAMI — Florida does not need to create a paper record for touch-screen voting machines in case recounts are needed in tight races, a federal judge ruled Monday, upholding the state’s emergency rule that set standards for e-voting recounts.

A COALITION of small leftist political groups today sued US President George W. Bush and other American government officials for the abuses against prisoners at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
The suit was filed at the Santiago Court of Appeals, which did not immediately decide whether it will accept to hear it.
