The department has received complaints about voter registration or absentee ballot issues in Bay, Leon, Orange, Alachua, Broward and Miami-Dade counties and also plans to work with investigators in Duval County who are already looking into fraud (…)

Judge Tosses Fla. E-Voting Paper Trail Suit
27 October 2004By Adrian Sainz
MIAMI — Florida does not need to create a paper record for touch-screen voting machines in case recounts are needed in tight races, a federal judge ruled Monday, upholding the state’s emergency rule that set standards for e-voting recounts.
Touch-screen machines "provide sufficient safeguards" of constitutional rights by warning voters when they have not cast votes in individual races and allowing them to make a final review of their ballots, U.S. District Judge James (…) -

27 October 2004It simply isn’t working. No one seems to understand. You can’t just march your troops in And govern a foreign land When you don’t know the customs You don’t know the hiding places You don’t know the friends and family ties Or what their religious base is.
To a land you’ve burned and bombed To families you’ve torn apart You drive their streets with machine guns aimed And hope to win their hearts? The people are uncooperative? They don’t want to understand? Why, you can’t speak the (…) -
